English poetry: an ode to life

Henry wadsworth longfellow/henry wadsworth longfellow

Please don't tell me in sad poems; Please don't tell me in sad poems;

Life is just an empty dream! Life is just an empty dream!

Because the sleeping soul is dead, because the sleeping soul is dead,

Things are not what they seem. Things are not what they seem.

Life is real! Life is serious! Life is real! Life is warm!

The grave is not its goal; The goal of life is never the grave;

You are dust, and dust is dust.

Not the soul. This is not our spirit.

Not enjoyment, not sadness, our destination is not happiness,

It is our destiny and our way; This is not sadness,

It's about taking action and doing it.

That's all for tomorrow. This is our way,

Found that we were farther away than today. Make progress every day.

Art is long and time is short. Time is fleeting, but the ocean of art is boundless.

Our hearts are strong and brave. Our hearts-brave and strong as they are,

However, like a low drum, like a copper drum covered with cloth,

The funeral procession goes to the grave. I often play funeral music.

In this vast battlefield of the world, in this camp of life,

In the camp of life, in this vast world battlefield,

Don't be like a dumb cow being driven away! Don't be a dumb animal that has been driven away.

Become a hero in the fight! Be a hero and shoot at once!

Don't believe in the future. No matter how beautiful the future is! Don't trust the future, no matter how happy it is!

Let the dead past bury its dead! Let the dead past bury everything!

Act, act, and live in the present! For god's sake, we have the courage,

There is God in my heart! Take action-seize the good opportunity of life now!

Great man's life reminds us, great man's life reminds us,

We can make our life noble, we can make our life noble!

When we leave this world, leave us behind,

Footprints on the beach of time; Can leave footprints on the quicksand of time,

Maybe it's another footprint, maybe it's an unfortunate brother,

Sailing in the majesty of life, once floating in the solemn sea of life,

An abandoned and shipwrecked brother, seeing our footprints,

See, will cheer up, will be full of confidence again.

So, let's get up and do it, let's get up and do it,

With a heart for any fate; Make up your mind no matter what happens;

Still dying, still pursuing continued victory and pursuit,

Learn to work and wait. Learn to work hard and learn to wait patiently.
