Originally from Shanghai, 1956 was born in Beijing, and his father was Gu Gong, a famous poet at that time. At the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, he was only 10 years old. Two years later, he was sent to a farm in northern Shandong with his father. He likes to collect insect specimens while releasing pigs, where he wrote his first collection of poems, Unknown Flowers, and also compiled a collection of poems, Baiyun Dream. 1973 (17 years old) returned to Beijing with his father and worked as a carpenter, porter, seconded editor and other temporary workers for some time.
His works were published on 1979, which had a great influence on young readers. Because of the controversy caused by Far and Near and Arc, he is also regarded as one of the main writers of misty poetry. 1980, taking "six short poems" to the "Youth Poetry Meeting" caused another controversy, which led to the "misty poetry debate" for six years. 198 1 year, his ten lyrics won the "star" poetry award. His poetry collections include Black Eyes, Remy, City, Mercury and so on. In addition, there are Shu Ting's Lyrics from Gu Cheng, Poems from the North Island and Poems of Five People.
65438-0987 was invited to visit European and American countries for cultural exchange. From 65438 to 0988, he went to New Zealand to teach China classical literature, and was employed as a researcher in the Department of Asian Languages at the University of Auckland. After his resignation, he lived in seclusion in Rapids Island, New Zealand. 1992 was awarded an annuity by the German Academic Exchange Center (DAAD), and 1993 was awarded the German Bohr Creation Fund to write in Germany. In September of the same year, he killed his wife Xie Ye (poet Remy) with an axe, and then committed suicide. His novels Ying Er (co-written with Remy) and The Complete Works of Gu Cheng were published behind him.
