The Book of Songs is known as my country's first poetry collection, an outstanding representative of pre-Qin culture, and the beginning of my country's realist literature. Puyang was called the Kingdom of Wei during the Spring and Autumn Period. A considerable part of the Book of Songs describes the customs and customs of the Puyang area at that time. The Book of Songs contains 305 poems, including 160 "wind" poems. There are 39 "Weifeng" poems from the Puyang area. head.
We don’t need to summarize the characteristics of Wei Shi. Mr. Cheng Junying has already given the answer in his book "The Book of Songs Translation and Annotation" -
The characteristics of Wei Shi:
< p> First, it produced China's first female poet, Mrs. Xu Mu. Her work "Zai Chi" (some say, "Bamboo Pole" and "Spring" are also her works) express a strong spirit of patriotism.Secondly, there are many poems about the people being dissatisfied with politics and boldly exposing and resisting the ruling class, such as "North Wind", "Xiang Mouse", "Wang Youci", "Xintai", "Quail" "Ben Ben" and so on, are very combative, which is rare in "The Book of Songs" except for "Wei Feng".
Third, poems about love and marriage, such as "Cypress Boat", "Sangzhong", "Meng", "Gu Feng", etc., express the fate of women at that time and their bold resistance to feudal ethics. Spirit. This is inseparable from the political, economic and geographical situation of Weiguo at that time.
Influenced by the "Wei style", Puyang poets emerged in large numbers, including Mrs. Xu Mu, the "first female poet in China" mentioned above. The Chinese Poetry Society also awarded Puyang the honorary title of "City of Chinese Poetry" in 2016. During this period, some people with lofty ideals also began to use music to spread the "Weifeng" culture.
I am very ashamed that as an old Puyang person who has lived here for 30 years, I know very little about the culture of The Book of Songs. This also prompted me to once again pick up the Book of Songs and dive into it, read it again, and read it again.
According to the depiction in the Book of Songs, the style of Weiguo in the Spring and Autumn Period is roughly like this -
Politics is mediocre, the economy is developed, and love has a certain degree of freedom. degrees.
Foolish politics.
In the late Spring and Autumn Period, the Sun family and the Ning family of Wei State were in exclusive power, and the relationship between the monarch and his ministers was at odds. After the Sun family surrendered to Jin and the Ning family was destroyed, another incident occurred in the Wei state, where Wei Zhuanggong Kuai Kuai and Wei Chugong Yu and his son fought for the country, further weakening the country's national power. In 496 BC, Prince Kuai Chi failed in his attempt to murder Nan Zi, the wife of Duke Lin, and fled to Jin State for refuge. Thirteen years later, he sneaked into Qicheng and started fighting for the country with his son Zui (who had been appointed as a Duke of Wei). Kuai Kuai colluded with his sister to control the ruling nephew Kong Kui. He was forced to flee the state of Lu every time he went out of business, and Kuai Kuai established himself as Duke Zhuang. Zilu was the governor of Kong Kui. He died tragically in a fight with Kuai Kui's soldiers to save Kong Kui. There is a tomb on Xu Youzi Road in the northeast of Qicheng today.
Developed economy.
Weiguo is located in the Central Plains, close to the Yellow River, with convenient transportation and well-developed connections. Cars and boats can move forward hand in hand. The economy is strong, and agriculture, handicrafts, and commerce are relatively developed, especially handicrafts such as textiles, bronze casting, jade, bone, and bamboo processing. The level of economic development has always been at the forefront of the vassal states. From "Meng", we can see how the protagonist of the story trafficked silk between Dunqiu (today's Qingfeng, Puyang) and the countryside. It is not difficult for us to imagine the scene of merchants gathering and prosperous markets in this city as a commodity distribution center. .
Magnificent love.
Among the 39 poems in "Bei Feng", "阘风" and "Wei Feng", there are 19 marriage and love poems. The 19 marriage and love poems included in Wei's poems are rich in content, including "Sangzhong", "Jingnv", and "Papaya", in which men and women meet among mulberry trees and express love by giving gifts, and "Papaya", which resists the constraints of ethics and education and opposes arranged marriage. "Yuan Feng·Bo Zhou", and "Mang" which reflects on the struggle of marriage life. Every love scene is graceful, unrestrained, healthy and natural.
Various costumes.
In the clothing of the Spring and Autumn Period, people were no longer satisfied with the previous protection from the cold, and the types and styles of clothing began to become more prominent. For example, in "Bei Feng·Green Clothes" there is "Green clothes, Green clothes and yellow clothes." In "Wei Feng·Shuo Ren", "Shuo people are tall and handsome, and their clothes are rich and silky", in "Bei Feng·Zhaoqiu", "Wearing fox fur and rong, the thieves can't go east" and so on. Women who love beauty already pay great attention to decorating themselves through various accessories. It is estimated that all of them are enchanting.
Leisurely life.
"In Confucius's "Book of Rites·Music" there is a record of "the sound of the mulberry trees on the Pu, the sound of the country's subjugation", because in the Spring and Autumn Period, music could only be enjoyed by the nobles, while in the Wei people it was With beautiful music, Confucius believed that the people here were not diligent in working and only cared about enjoying themselves, so the country would perish. This just showed that the people of Wei State were wealthy, well-educated, and young men and women sang, danced and fell in love in the park. Talk about love, leisure and entertainment, and show freedom. "No matter what Confucius taught, we have already built Pushang Garden in Puyang now, and these are their slogans. Haha, don’t you think it’s embarrassing?
I often think about the above-mentioned things. If a film and television drama were released, what kind of drama would it be? There would be fierce and bloody palace struggles, a luxurious material life, and a red-faced and enthusiastic person. love story, as well as the indispensable and noble patriotism education, and of course, the eye-catching palace incest... All the highlights of the popular drama are present, and I wonder, why No one is bidding? Ahhhh!
Now, I am sitting on the outer city wall of Qiyi, a once very important city in Weiguo (in fact, this is where my current office is), and I have COSPLAYed like this more than once:
On a sunny morning or afternoon about 2,600 years ago (you can also say 2,700 years ago or 2,500 years ago or a more unreal time), a handsome young man (now The small merchant (the future big boss) is heading towards the place 16.9 kilometers north of me (which is now Qingfeng) and is heading to "Hold the Bamboo Silk" with great joy...
Welcome His is the fiancée who will make him famous throughout the ages. She has prepared the title book. The next line is "I have committed a crime, and my son has no good matchmaker", and then the sentence that comforts him is "The son will not have a good match." Anger, autumn will come." He is both well-behaved, sensible and considerate.
She was waiting for him to fall into the trap, and a story from falling in love to killing each other was unfolding silently.
Over here, the future Mrs. Xu Mu is in the beautiful boudoir. Duke Huan of Qi and Duke Xu Mu come to propose marriage at the same time. The greasy and confused father is nagging her to marry Comrade Xu Mu. She tilts her head. With eyes wide open, he said word by word to us outside time and space - "What if, I - don't -"?
History is paused here for three seconds.
