Yang Mu (1940—2020), whose real name is Wang Jingxian, was born in Hualien, China, and was a contemporary poet and writer. Graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages of Donghai University, Master of Arts from the University of Iowa, and Doctor of Comparative Literature from the University of California, Berkeley. He has won Newman Chinese Literature Award and Huahan World Chinese Literature Award. His representative works include Crossing the Road and The Book Before Strange Coming.
