Please explain, please analyze Du Fu's "Sunset"

The analysis part is completely original ~

Translation:

The setting sun seemed to be hanging on the hooks of the curtains. The poet looked through the window and saw only twos and threes of people by the stream. Farmers are busy with spring plowing. The gardens along the stream bank are covered with flowers and green grass, which are full of colors under the afterglow; some farmers are chopping firewood, some are raising smoke from their kitchens, and some are mooring their boats on the stream beach. The chirping birds were jumping and arguing on the branches, and some fell down; flying insects were roaming all over the courtyard, buzzing and buzzing. Duojiu, who created you? Let me have a drink and you can dissolve thousands of sorrows.

Analysis:

This poem describes the leisurely scene in the farmhouse’s courtyard by the stream in the spring evening. The first couplet "Sunset on the Curtain Hook" has a very sense of perspective. It also points out the time, the poet's location, and the direction the poet is looking. It contains a lot of information. The chin couplet describes the activities of people, and the neck couplet describes the activities of birds and flying insects, both showing a leisurely atmosphere under the spring sunset. The topic of the last couplet changes and returns to the poet himself, which exactly corresponds to the first couplet.

Most of this poem describes pastoral scenery, but the theme is completely different from ordinary pastoral poems. The key lies in the first and last couplets: Why is the poet sitting in the room, but looking out, unable to stop lingering on the leisurely scene? Why, after admiring the whole journey, do you have to say at the end, "Who created the turbid mash? One drink will dispel all the worries"? It can be seen that this poem, like most of Du Fu's poems, has a sad tone. As for why he was sad, the poem did not mention it, but we can know the reason from our overall understanding of Du Fu. It's just that in this poem, the poet can't help but pay attention to the pastoral scene outside the curtain, which contrasts with his mood and feels even more beautiful; but after lingering for a while, he can't settle down in it and have a clear understanding of the situation of his family and country. It still brought him back to deep sorrow. This is the emotional clue implicit in the poem. Only by understanding this can we have a clearer understanding of the theme of the poem.
