Where does the word "Fu" come from?

The custom of posting the word "Fu" upside down originated from Gongwangfu in Qing Dynasty. That year was the eve of the Spring Festival. In order to please the host, the housekeeper wrote a few big "fu" words, which were posted on the warehouse and the door. Unable to read, the family pasted the word "Fu" upside down on the gate. Therefore, Prince Gong Fujin was very angry and wanted to punish him with a whip. Fortunately, the big housekeeper is a talkative person, and he is also afraid that Fujin will blame him for being involved. He hurriedly knelt down and stated, "I often hear that Prince Gong wishes you a happy birthday. Now Dafu has really arrived, which is a good omen." Prince Gong Fujin was overjoyed and immediately rewarded the housekeeper and the servant with fifty taels of silver each. Later, the custom of putting the word "Fu" upside down spread from Wang Fu to other people's homes. After posting, everyone will like passers-by or urchins to say a few words: "Fu is coming! Blessed! " For good luck.
