It's easier to go down than to go up.
It's easier to go down than up. This poem comes from the Southern Song Dynasty poet Yang Wanli, who wrote "Going to a Song Yuanchen Cooking and Paint Shop". He expressed his encouragement and persistence in the struggle of life, telling people that although it is difficult to follow their dreams up the mountain, as long as they climb hard, they can see a wider landscape, and the peak is still ahead, so they need to continue their efforts. This quotation also expresses their modest attitude towards success. Don't be complacent because of temporary achievements, they need to keep learning and making progress. Yang Wanli (1127101October 29th to1June 2006 15), born in Jishui, Jizhou (now Tang Qiu Village, huangqiao town, Jishui County, Jiangxi Province), was a famous poet and minister in the Southern Song Dynasty. Yang Wanli wrote more than 20,000 poems in his life, and there are 4,200 handed down works. He is regarded as a generation of poets. He created a "sincere style" with simple language and fresh humor. Most of Yang Wanli's poems describe natural scenery and are good at it. He also has many chapters that reflect the sufferings of the people and express patriotic feelings, such as Chengzhai Collection.
