In 1972, in order to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the publication of Mao Zedong's "Speech at the Yan'an Forum on Literature and Art", with the approval of the Anhui Provincial Revolutionary Committee, an essay solicitation activity was launched and the "Essay Works" magazine was founded. It was sponsored by the Revolutionary Committee of the Anhui Provincial Bureau of Culture, and the person in charge was Jun. Represented Wu Ping; in 1973, "Essay Works" was renamed "Anhui Literature and Art" and was still affiliated to the Revolutionary Committee of the Anhui Provincial Bureau of Culture. The person in charge was Yu Yun, and the specific persons in charge were Cheng Kewen, Yan Zhen, and Jiang Liu; in 1978, it was restored to "Anhui Literature" ", sponsored by the Anhui Federation of Literary and Art Circles and edited by Jiang Liu; in 1984, it was once renamed "Literature". Later, due to publication rectification, it was merged into "Qingming" magazine in 1987.
Since the founding of "Anhui Literature", under the leadership of the party and the government, it has conscientiously implemented the two directions and the double hundred policy, strived to promote writers to go deep into the masses and life, and published a large number of influential novels , poetry, prose, essays, reportage, literary criticism, etc., it has cultivated a large number of new literary talents and made important contributions to the prosperity of Anhui literature. Especially after the Gang of Four was crushed, he was emancipating his mind and being bold in correcting chaos, rectifying the source, reflecting rural reforms, and opening up a new situation in literature in the new era. He is known throughout the country for his fierce, sharp and insightful work. "Anhui Literature" is a comprehensive literary monthly, distributed at home and abroad, with a maximum circulation of 180,000 copies.
