Interpretation of proverbs

(2) An ancient style aimed at punishing others or oneself. The original meaning is motto, morality and exhortation. Such as Jizhou Town written by Yang Xiong in the Western Han Dynasty and Nvshi Town written by Zhang Hua in the Western Jin Dynasty.

In the 6th century BC, ancient Greek proverb poets compiled ancient sayings into a collection of proverbs.
