Turn: Yongjia Beggar's Desperate Poems

During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, in the cold winter, a beggar in rags died in the street, hungry and naked, obviously hungry and cold. When the sun rises, people come and go in the street, and all eyes are focused on beggars.

So, people found a piece of paper in their arms, on which was written a poem called "Poem of Despair". His poems should have been written by beggars before they died. The literate people present were shocked by it and couldn't stop watching it. They copied it and spread it to the public, and it is still widely praised today. It is shocking to think of his life experience as a poet.

Poems of Despair Beggars in Yongjia of Qing Dynasty

My life experience is as muddy as a seagull on the water. I crossed Zhou Nan with a bamboo pole.

In the evening, the rice bag is full of waning moon, and the song board breeze sings Xiaoqiu.

Kick your feet off the earth, and shoulder all the worries of the past and the present.

If you don't eat now, why does the yellow dog bark endlessly?

This is a very high-level work of seven laws, with neat antithesis, quiet language and elegant style. The first four sentences of the poem are quite graceful and restrained by Liu Yong, but the last four sentences have a sharp change in writing style. It seems that the poet Li Bai is possessed, romantic and frivolous, and his artistic conception is open-minded.

It is precisely because this poem is of such a high level that its officials highly admire it, so a tomb was built for it, with the inscription "The Tomb of Beggars in Yongjia Poetry". The official monument was erected for a nameless beggar who died tragically. The inscription is also called Yongjia Poem Beggar, which shows the level and influence of this poem at that time.

The first couplet "was born like a seagull on the water and crossed Zhou Nan with a bamboo pole." My life experience is like a seagull on the water, but I will walk through Zhou Nan with crutches anyway. "Seagull on the Water" uses a sentence like this: "Fly, fly, what am I, but a sandpiper in the vast world!" In Du Fu's One-Night Romantic, the "bamboo stick" comes from Su Shi's "Ding Feng" where the bamboo stick shoes are lighter than horses. Who's scared? A misty rain is a lifetime. "I expressed that even if my life experience is tragic, no matter how helpless I am, I am not afraid of suffering. I should go through my life calmly, reach my destination and be firm. Zhuan Xu's "The rice bag is full of waning moons at dusk, and the song board breeze sings small autumn. "There is nothing in my rice bag except the reflection of the moon in the empty sky. That means I'm hungry. I haven't eaten for a long time. I associate the bowl with the moon, and the picture is beautiful and poetic. I'm hungry, but what can I do? I can only take pains, face the wind, pick up the board, and sing Qiu Ge with a brighter day. My life is at the end of my tether, but I can still sing. Taking pains shows the poet's optimism. This song is about autumn, which shows that the poet knows that his life is coming to an end and he is worried about his life, but he still has to be optimistic.

"Necklace" kicked the earth with two feet, shouldering all the worries of ancient and modern times. I will use my feet to break this old world and build a new one. I will shoulder all the troubles of the ages with my shoulders. It can be seen that this beggar has a serious heart and a feeling of helping the world, such as Du Fu's "There are ten million spacious buildings, which greatly protect the faces of the poor people in the world" and Fan Zhongyan's "Worry about the world first, and enjoy the world later". "If you don't eat now, why does the yellow dog bark endlessly?" I no longer eat food given by others, even if I starve to death, I will not go along with "some people" Yellow dog, you don't have to keep barking for my death. The "yellow dog" here implies the powerful people at that time. You asked me to join your team. It was a dream. Even if I am starving, I won't go. Qu yuan's "everyone is drunk and I wake up alone, and the world is turbid and I wake up alone." Show deep meaning.

In this world, no matter what time, there are always some people who "emerge from the mud but don't dye, ripple but don't demon", and always stick to their original intentions, not affected by the external environment, and strengthen their beliefs, so as to achieve your ultimate goal. Just like the "wandering master" Shen Wei and the "Yongjia poet beggar" in the Qing Dynasty, we have no power to change them, but we can stick to our original intention without their interference. Yongjia Shigai set an example for us with his own actions. Our life is so beautiful now, we can learn from his behavior, but we must remember his independent spirit. Although this poem is only a few hundred years old, I think it will be passed down. Until ancient times, some people still regard it as spiritual wealth.
