Introduction to Purim Festival
Purim (Hebrew:? ,P? r? M, English: Purim, also known as Purim Festival (meaning draw lots), is to commemorate and celebrate that ancient Jews living in Persia were exempted from the genocide plot of Minister Haman. Celebrations include drinking, feasting, singing in groups, dancing, gathering and setting off fireworks, wearing masks, giving alms to the poor and giving food to each other.
