Selected English Love Poems

1.

I AM THE WIND

I am the wind

I am the wind that wavers ,

I am the dancing wind

You are the certain land;

And you are the quiet land

I am the shadow that passes

Over the sand.

I am the shadow that passes over your land

I am the leaf that quivers,

I am the shaking leaf

You--the unshaken tree;

And you are the tranquil tree

You are the stars that are steadfast ,

You are the steadfast stars

I am the sea.

And I am the sea

You are the light eternal ,

You are the eternal light

Like a torch I shall die...

And I will go out like a torch

You are the surge of deep music,

I--but a cry!

You are the surge of deep music,

But I can only cry< /p>

2.

MISTRESS MINE,

WHERE ARE YOU ROAMING

Where are you going, my girl

< p>Mistress mine, where are you roaming?

My girl, where are you roaming?

stay and hear! your true-love's coming

That can sing both high and low;

Stay and hear! your true-love's coming

That can sing both high and low;

Stay and hear! your true-love's coming

That can sing both high and low; p>

Listen! It will sing loudly

Trip no further, pretty sweeting,

Stop wandering around, beautiful lover

Journeys end in lovers' meeting--

Every wise man's son doth know.

Wandering will end at the meeting of lovers, every wise man's son knows.

What is love? 'tis not herafter;

What is love? If this isn't already

Present mirth hath present laughter;

Present joy, show laughter

What's to come is still unsure:

The future is still unpredictable

In delay there lies no plenty,--

There will not be many lies here

Then come kiss me, Sweet --and--twenty,

Then come and kiss me! Young beauty!

Youth's a stuff will not endure

Youth will be fleeting

3.

I TRAVELLED AMONG UNKNOWN MEN

I traveled among unknown men,

In lands beyond the sea;

I traveled among unknown men,

In lands beyond the sea;

I traveled among unknown men, Wandering

Nor, England! did I know till then

Until then I didn’t know there was a place called England

What love I bore to thee.

What kind of love can I give you.

'Tis past, that melancholy dream!

That was just a melancholy dream from the past!

Nor will I quit thy shore

I will not be stranded on your shore

A second time; for still I seem

To love thee more and more

This is not the first time, I seem to love you more and more

Among thy mountains did I feel

The joy of my desire;

Among your peaks, I enjoy the joy of desire

And she I cherished turned her wheel

Beside an English fire.

Beside the British hook fire, I held her in my arms and turned her wheels of desire

Thy mornings showed, thy nights concealed

The bowers where Lucy played;

In the pavilion where Lucy once played, your morning has appeared and your night has escaped

And thine too is the last green field

That Lucy's eyes surveyed.

And what Lucy's eyes surveyed is also your last green space.

FAREWELL, SWEET GROVES

Oh bye, sweet woods

Farewell,

Goodbye

Sweet groves to you;

Lovely groves

You hills, that highest dwell,

And all you humble vales, adieu.

< p>You are entrenched on the top of the hill

You wanton brooks and solitary rocks,

Swaying wanton and lonely

My dear companions all, and you, my tender flocks!

The only companions you and I have are those tame flocks

Farewell, my pipe, and all those pleasing songs, whose moving strains

Goodbye, my flute and all the happy songs, and the moving tensions

Delighted once the fairest nymphs that dance upon the plains;

Delighted, infinitely beautiful Fairies dance on the plain

You discontents, whose deep and over- deadly smart,

Your discontent is those deep and over-quiet pains

Have , without pity, broke the truest heart;

Sighs, tears, and every sad annoy,

That erst did with me dwell,

And all other's joy

That which accompanied my sighs, tears, and every sorrowful care

And all other joys

Farewell!Adieu,

Goodbye! Goodbye!

4.

Fair shepherdesses:

Beautiful shepherdesses

Let garlands of sad yew

Adorn your dainty golden tresses.

Let the yew garland adorn your fair curls

I, that loved you, and often with my quill

I , those who love you will always use this stem

Made music that delighted fountain, grove, and hill:

Play music to delight fountains, trees, and hills

>

I, whom you loved so, and with a sweet and chaste embrace.

And I, whom you loved so, and with a sweet and chaste embrace.

( Yea, with a thousand rarer favors) would vouchsafe to grace,

(Yes, with a thousand rarer favors) would vouchsafe to grace,

I, now must leave you all alone, of love to pain:

I have to leave you now, and suffer from love

And never pipe, nor never sing again.

Never again No more playing my bagpipes, no more songs

I must, for evermore, be gone.

And therefore bid I you

Therefore I bless you

And every one,

and everyone

Adieu.

Goodbye

5.

MOONSHINE

Nonsense

To think if thinking

I must be alone: ??It is better to be alone

To love

We must be together. We must be together

I think I love you

When I'm alone I think I really love you

More than I think of you When we are together, love is far more than I think of you

When we're together.

I cannot think How can I think without love?

Without loving

Or love How can we love each other without thinking?

Without thinking.

Alone I love

To think of us together: to meditate when we are together

Together I think

I'd love to be alone. And when we are together, I long to be alone!

5.

She Walks in Beauty

She walks in beauty, like the night

She walks gracefully, like the night That dark night

Of cloudless climes and starry skies;

Like the season without any clouds and the starry sky

And all that's best of dark and bright

That is the best darkness and light

Meet in her aspect and her eyes:

Just like her appearance and her eyes< /p>

Thus mellow'd to that tender light

That tender light becomes more mellow because of this

Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

< p>Even the Dinner Day in Heaven will give up

One shade the more, one ray the less,

The more it is shaded, the more the light is gone

Had half impair'd the nameless grace

Which waves in every raven tress,

Those weakened nameless grace

In every dark heart Wave from the tree

Or softly lightens o'er her face;

Where thoughts serenely sweet express

Or softly lighten her face

p>

And there, thoughts are revealed peacefully and sweetly

How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

How pure, how dear their dwelling-place< /p>

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,

Between that cheek and brow

So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,

p>

So gentle, so peaceful, and so touching

The smiles that win, the tints that glow,

The smiles of victory, the flowing richness

But tell of days in goodness spent,

Tell the day in goodness spent

A mind at peace with all below,

一 What a mind longing for peace

A heart whose love is innocent!

A heart full of innocent love

6.

Heart, We Will Forget Him Heart, we will forget him, Heart, we will forget him

You and I, tonight! You and me, just tonight

You must forget the warmth he gave, you must forget the warmth he gave you

I will forget the light. light

When you have done pray tell me, when you pray tell me

Then I, my thoughts, will dim.

Haste! 'lest while you're lagging Then please hurry up! Don't be disconnected

I may remember him! I may remember him

English Poetry

Angel

As I look into your eyes

I see an angel in disguise

like I've never been

here next to you near

and keep you by my side

Whenever i see you smile

I'll drop into a fairytale

Like a playful child

sleeping on the puffy cloud

Then the cloud disappeared

I fell all the way down to here

but you helped me to fight away my fears

I heard you whisper in my ear

all of the words i long to hear

of how you'll always be

here next to me

to wipe away my tears.

Bitterness

Standing still on the beach,

thinking of the hurtful speech.

Wondering why he had to be cruel,

and making the sand being washed away,

by my tears

through.....and through...

Didn't want to feel the wind of depression, < /p>

and will never give my heart to another person.

Tend to think that time could heal,

tortured .. struggled...

< p>but still feeling ill.

Seaweed waved and sang,

feel the sour taste in my lung.

The perfect love was never found,

p>

sank into the pain...

and slowly drowned.

<>

Naked i am in front of you,

but i'm too scared to even look at you.

Your eyes are like fire,

that shimmers in the guilty air.

You said that you are cruel, cold and dire

no one can ever stop your desire.

"I can" i said with a deep respire,

Don't you ever tell me

that you have a broken heart which no one can repair.

I knew you were gonna say that

fresh warm blood is all you require.

But what made you feel that

loving someone could make you tire?

You are desperate to end everything, < /p>

without noticing how much love

you are wasting.

We're disappointed in you,

and your despairing way of thinking.

But we'll never give up on you,

because we love you,

and will always be forgiving.

We don't expect you to hug us,

and appreciating.

As long as we see you smile,

nothing else could be more satisfying.

p>

Love can heal up everything,

and the priceless thing is loving.
