Appreciation of Wang Ling’s <<Reading Lao Du’s Collection of Poems>>

The seven-line poem "Reading the Poems of Lao Du Fu" not only gives a high evaluation of Du Fu's poetry, but also expresses sincere sympathy for the poet's tragic life. The first two sentences of the poem show that the author praises Du Shi's achievements, which are the inheritance of the fine tradition since the "Book of Songs" and the "elegance and elegance", reaching the level of exquisiteness. The third and fourth sentences further show that Du Fu's poems were written out of anger just like the ancient sages. Lines 56 and 2 are recognized as famous lines in Wang Ling's poems. The fifth sentence can quite summarize the content of Du's poem, and the sixth sentence is indeed Wang Ling's heartfelt voice of reverence. The last two sentences of the poem are Wang Ling's condolences and exclamations for Du Fu. The author laments that although Du Fu's fame has shone brightly to later generations and his poems have been passed down through the ages, this "eternal fame" is, after all, a "lonely posthumous event".

The whole poem is full of deep feelings, mainly praising, but expressing feelings of sadness and indignation. Over the past thousands of years, there have been many great writers, but most of them failed to succeed in this world. Du Fu is one of them. Wang Ling used this poem to complain about injustice, so there was an air of arrogance that came out vividly on the page.
