"Northern Spring" (Northern Spring) is a song sung by Japanese singer Sen Masao. The lyrics and music were composed by Hiromasa Ide and Minoru Endo.
The lyrics are as follows:
Tall white birches, long blue sky, gentle south wind
Magnolia blossoms on the hills, spring in the Northland
Oh, spring has arrived in the North, and I don’t know the seasons have changed in the city
I don’t know the seasons have changed, but my mother has sent another package
Sending cold clothes to protect me from the harsh winter, my hometown, my hometown, my hometown
When will I be able to return to your arms? When the remaining snow melts and the stream flows
The single-plank bridge crosses its path, the buds begin to grow on the larch trees, it’s spring in the North
Ah , the spring in the North has arrived, although we already love each other in our hearts
We have not yet revealed our true feelings, it has been five years since we were separated
My girl can be at peace, my hometown, my hometown, my hometown< /p>
When will I be able to return to your arms? There are clumps of beetroots and mist in the morning
The waterwheel house is quiet, and bursts of children’s songs are heard, the spring of the North
Ah, the spring in the North has arrived, my brother is just like my old father
Have a pair of taciturn people ever had time to worry about drinking wine, and occasionally drank a few cups at each other
My hometown, my hometown, I My hometown, when will I be able to return to your arms?

Creative background
What is sung in "Spring in the Northern Land" is not the Northeastern region of Japan. Or the northern style of Hokkaido, but the scenery of Nagano Prefecture in central Japan. At the foothills of Kitayatsugatake Mountain in Nagano Prefecture, there is a large tract of white birch forest growing on the Yachiho Plateau at an altitude of 1,500 meters. There are as many as 1 million birch trees there, and it is known as "the most beautiful birch forest in Asia".
The white magnolia that blooms the earliest in spring also grows in the small rural shrine there.
