This famous song is based on the poem "〈Down By the Salley Garden〉" by the poet Ye Zhi. It was originally translated into "In the Willow Garden", which was an early poem of Ye Zhi. His early poems have beautiful rhythm, delicate feelings, gorgeous rhetoric and rich symbolic meaning, which are obviously influenced by English romanticism and French symbolism poetry.
Sally Gardens, English name: THE SALLY GARDENS, was composed by Irish composer Phil Coulter, and it was included in his album The Wizard of Oz.
