Puzu is a nation that can sing and dance well. There are many famous singers in this hometown of poetry. As early as the Eastern Han Dynasty, the famous Song of the White Wolf was circulated. Pumi people will sing, visit friends, get together and dance in Guocun during the festival. Some of these lyrics belong to classics and were recorded in Tibetan. People can sing according to the lyrics. Most of the content belongs to religion and history. For example, "Song of Guli" is a poem that records the traditional customs and laws of Pumi people. It is contained in Ding Ba Wen Jing. The content is to invite all four gods to accept the sacrifices and summoning of priests. Tell us that Pumi people were saved by oak leaves and should be remembered by future generations.

Pu's poems are profound and have a long history, and they are usually recited or sung by old people. Poetry is divided into greetings, long poems, riddles, proverbs and so on. Congratulations or sacrificial songs are the blessing words in various sacrificial activities during the festival. There are those who pray for world peace and happiness, those who worship their ancestors and gods, those who exorcise evil spirits, and two or three short sentences with thousands of lines, which have a strong sense of rhythm and regular format. Five-character multi-sentence pattern is the most common. For example, Cordoba, a Buddha who worships the country and respects the world, how to live, catch ghosts and live in Balaqi. In this long poem, "Please God Song" describes the formation of heaven, earth, sun and moon, the origin of all things, the origin of various living customs, the migration process of primitive ancestors and the struggle against nature, and "Song of Oak Leaves" reflects heroes and so on.

During the festival, Pumi people often sing Gongga Mountain songs, describing the scenery and richness of Gongga Mountain in the form of poems:

On the high Gongga Mountain, the lion is laughing. On the top of the steep hill, there are blue sheep jumping. At the bottom of the cliff, there are muntjac running. Red deer are everywhere in the dense bamboo forest. Cows are walking in the green pine forest. There are horses galloping on the soft slope. Yaks graze on the grassland.

Pumi people's vocals are generally improvisational, and poems are refined through processing. Such as Peng Michalli, Chong Gesa, Yak Song, Horse Riding Song, Ma Songgang, Grinding Song, Building a New House Song, Tea Making Song, etc. Most of these songs are accompanied by dance and have certain plot content. Love songs for men and women are one of the important contents of Pumi poetry.
