The Creative Background of Li Bai's Long March

Background We know that Li Bai roamed the Hanshui River Basin and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River for a long time after leaving the Three Gorges in his youth. Since the Six Dynasties, these areas have developed commerce, prosperous cities and frequent business contacts. The "Five Tones" and "Opera" in Yuefu in the Six Dynasties were born in this area, and many of them expressed the sad thoughts of business women leaving their husbands. Li Bai is a writer who attaches great importance to learning excellent literary heritage and is very familiar with Wu Sheng and traditional Chinese opera. His life experience made him know the thoughts and feelings of business women very well: these were the basis of his writing the Long March.
