Dule Temple Scenic Area is an AAAA-level tourist attraction in my country, commonly known as the Big Buddha Temple. It is located on West Street in Jizhou City, Tianjin. Legend has it that An Lushan raised an army to rebel against the Tang Dynasty and swore an oath here. He wanted to be emperor and wanted to be alone but not with the people, so he got the name of the temple. Dule Temple is located in Yuyang Ancient Street, Jixian County, Tianjin City. It was first built in the Sui Dynasty and rebuilt in the Liao Dynasty. It is one of the only three remaining Liao Dynasty temples in my country. The mountain gate, Guanyin Pavilion and the statues in the two buildings are all historical sites of the Liao Dynasty and have a history of more than 1,000 years. Other buildings were built after the Ming Dynasty, and there are many historical sites to visit inside. Dule Temple is not big. The main buildings are all on the central axis. You can visit the buildings one by one along the central axis. In the Tang Dynasty, this area was under the jurisdiction of the Central Plains. In the Liao Dynasty, it was a remote area. Although the architectural style of the Central Plains has changed, it still follows the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty, which is consistent with the ancient buildings that are mostly preserved in the Ming and Qing styles. Comparison is very special. One of the architectural features of the Tang Dynasty is the large roof. The temple gate that tourists first see has a very large eaves. It is the earliest existing veranda-top gate in my country. The owl-beaked dragon tail on the roof is turned inward, which is different from the owl-beaked dragon tail in the temples of the Ming and Qing Dynasties that is turned outward. It is an earlier actual owl tail. The three-character plaque "Dule Temple" hanging on the door is said to have been written by Yan Song, a traitor in the Ming Dynasty. On both sides of the mountain gate, the colorful sculptures of "Generals Hum and Ha" from the Liao Dynasty and the murals from the Qing Dynasty are very exquisite. After walking through the mountain gate, you will see the Guanyin Pavilion, the main building of Dule Temple. It is an all-wood structure without using a single nail. It is the earliest existing wooden structure pavilion in my country. Look up and pay attention to the bottom of the eaves. You can see the grooves dug out layer by layer. The mortise and tenon structure of wood interlocking with each other. The four-character plaque "Guanyin Pavilion" hanging on the door of Guanyin Pavilion is said to have been written by Li Bai, a poet of the Tang Dynasty.
