My thoughts/sages

Holy learning is intensive reading, erudition and Juexue. Generally speaking, it refers to the learning methods, ways, paths and significance of saints! Ancient Ghost Valley, Laozi and Zhuangzi, Confucius and Mohism are all great sages! Therefore: the world respects saints and scholars as saints and sages! The poem "My Thinking/Sage" says: If you think deeply and think carefully, you will have strange ideas. If you trust your teacher, you can become a famous teacher. Only when a saint has knowledge can he become a unique scholar. Knowing good is good, and good is for good. Never do evil, never give up. Don't stop saving, God won't collapse.

Analyze my thoughts;

1. If you can think more about something, you will have some fantastic ideas. In this way, it is not far from the solution of the problem itself!

2. If you can always practice the teacher's way with the belief of being a teacher! One day, I will naturally become a grandmaster and become famous all over the world!

Only by being smart, diligent and knowledgeable, that is, studying extensively and selectively, can we finally achieve an immortal learning!

4. Knowing the value and original meaning of goodness, and pursuing it, and realizing it through actions, is already perfect!

5. Sages become sages because they keep their temperament respectful, gentle and even respectful! At the same time, you can express your appreciation and reluctance to the beautiful form of yourself and things around you! They study, practice and doubt dialectically day and night, and constantly communicate, interrogate and reflect on themselves every day! Only in this way can behavior be manifest, meaningful, and thoughts and spirit be immortal! !

Dongshan Xiling is green, but it is sunny under the rain. I want to ask you more things. A pigeon gives birth to an eagle.

This further illustrates the close relationship between Zen and literature. From the perspective of poetry creation, traditional poetry expresses ambition, and poetry is beautiful because of emotion. However, whether it is to express ambition or destiny, it is all in the language of the soul, so in a sense, Zen's theory of seeing nature will inevitably affect the poetry world.

Wang Wei's Zen and Zen Poetry

China's Zen is very literary, and there are quite a few literary elements in Zen literature. It can be said that the development of Zen Buddhism is closely related to literature and has an important influence on each other. Zen in literature is unique and important in the content and form of China literature. China's Zen culture more clearly reflects the characteristics of China's traditional ideology and culture.

The core of Zen theory is the theory of seeing nature, that is, the self-nature of all beings is pure and complete; Self-nature, straight into the Buddha; You just need to be conscious, conscious, and don't ask for it. This is the further development of self-centered Buddhist theory, Mahayana Buddhist theory and Tathagata Tibetan thought, and it is the product of the fusion of Buddhist theory of mind and China's traditional theory of human nature (mainly Confucian theory of good nature). This theory of Zen is bound to have an indissoluble bond with literature.

In fact, as later generations often say, poetry and Zen are consistent, and there is no difference. Poetry, poetic thinking, Zen interest and Zen machine are inherently easy to blend. Especially in the Tang Dynasty, influenced by the prosperity of social poetry, Zen monks often used poetry in enlightenment, demonstration and general discussion of questions and answers. Of course, their performance is different. In the poem of Juyuan Yang, a poet in the middle Tang Dynasty, he said:

The origin of silence comes from deep thinking, and the exploration of singularity is a self-understanding of Zen wisdom.

The Tang people have seen the great influence of Zen on the creation of Wang Wei and Du Fu. In the history of China's poetry, Wang Wei was called Shi Fo. His friends commented that he was a contemporary poet and good at Zen. Zen and Zen are the words that later generations evaluate his poems. In the prosperous Tang Dynasty poetry circle, Wang Wei's poetry has made special achievements with its unique creative style and artistic characteristics, which has had a great influence on that time and later generations.

Wang Wei's boyhood was the period when Dongshan Law flourished and spread widely in the Central Plains. His mother Cui Shi, in her thirties, is a student of Zen Master Dazhao. She avoids meditation and lives in the mountains in search of peace. His mother had a great influence on him, and many of his friends were closely related to the Zen master at that time, such as Pei Di and Cui Xingzong, who practiced Zen with him. Wang Wei's enthusiasm for meditation is related to his personal experience and personality. He was born in the Kaiyuan period, and like the scholars at that time, he was interested in serving the political talents at that time. This lofty ambition is sometimes shown in his high-spirited works written in his early years. However, his official career was not smooth, especially the dismissal of Zhang Jiuling (736 in the 24th year of Kaiyuan), who was grateful for his promotion, which dealt a great blow to him. He found a way for my middle-aged heart (my retreat in Zhongnanshan). After his forties, he was keen on Zen. He said: how many sad things have I had in my life? I didn't sell them to an empty door ("sighing with white hair"), but went to an empty door to seek sustenance. He is weak in character and not so persistent in principles. In his later years, he chose the road of being an official and hiding. In fact, he took the number to rub it, which clearly showed his admiration for Vimalakīrti Reyeman.

According to the Book of Old Tang Dynasty, he lived in the capital and ate more than a dozen monks every day, enjoying the mysterious talk. There is nothing in the den except a mortar and a rope bed. After retiring from the DPRK, he burned incense and sat alone, taking meditation as his career. In Sending Brothers and Sisters to the Mountain, he also said that there are many couples in the mountain and Zen is a group. He later made many so-called Zen people.

As can be seen from the above, Wang Wei was strongly influenced by Neo-Zen as a powerful social trend of thought. This poem has a new concept of Zen in content, but at the beginning, it says that only with delusion can I be persistent; If we look at the five yin and eighteen realms like this, then we are all empty. This is still the traditional view of Mahayana Buddhism. But the following said, with me, there is a man, my master. If you insist on emptiness, it must be an external reality. Therefore, it is a delusion to wash one's mind and realize enlightenment. However, although this poem has such fresh ideas, it only uses Zen language to reason, and the whole poem is like a poem. Ji Yun once said that poetry has Zen flavor, but he didn't want Zen language. Can be used to criticize such works. Some of Wang Wei's poems with vague artistic conception are often damaged by the use of Zen language. Such as Ji Xiang Temple:

I don't know where Ji Xiang Temple is, so I climbed several miles into the clouds and peaks. Ancient trees are towering, but there are no pedestrian paths, and there are bells in the mountains in the temple.

But the conclusion is that the story of drug-making dragon is used to spread a Zen. It is also a Zen meaning of words. Should be a failure! I remember reading a sentence before, which is also a criticism of Wang Wei. The wording is harsh, but it is also to the point: if Wang Weiduo talks about Buddhism and later people argue about it, isn't it Zen? Zen ears of special characters. If it weren't for Tao and Li Zao, they could hardly speak. I don't remember who said this sentence. The voice of criticism is harsh, but it is more realistic to point out that the use of Buddhist language in Wang Wei's poems is a kind of Zen.

Of course, Wang Wei is known as a generation of Shi Fo, and there are still works that are beautiful and elegant, and do not talk about Buddhism. They not only have their own characteristics in poetic art, but also open up a new world of poetic artistic expression. The important point is that he organically integrated the concept of seeing nature into the situation of poetry and expressed the realm of things and me.

Zen boils down to all methods, such as Wang Wei's description of banana in the snow, which was once commented as:

This is a poem that has always been considered very Zen. The white clouds and flowing water here are not only objective scenery, but also symbols of the poet's soul. They vividly set off the poet's heart with nothing and freedom. The white clouds and flowing water in Wang Wei's works are the scenery reflected in his mind, and its free curling form also implies the poet's mentality. For example, the image of white clouds is often used in Wang Wei's poems.

Leisurely distant mountains at dusk, alone in white clouds. ("Back to Wangchuan Work")

Empty forests and white clouds. ("Working in the Mountains in Early Autumn")

When you ask the question, you know beyond the white clouds. ("Answer Pei Di")

And so on, the meaning in his poems goes far beyond objects, and he uses white clouds to express his heart. Xu Zeng, a layman in Qing Dynasty, once commented that Wang Wei said poetry was the ultimate principle, but he just expressed his own thoughts. If Tao in the Jin Dynasty and Tao in the Tang Dynasty, he is also a person.

The empty mountains are bathed in a new rain, and feel the early autumn at night. The bright moon shed clear light from the cracks and cleared the fountain on the rocks.

The bamboo forest is sonorous, the washerwoman returns, and the lotus leaves are swaying to get on the canoe. Spring spring might as well give it a rest, and the autumn sun can stay on the hills for a long time.

The main feature of this poem is that it is both dynamic and static, and all the images show how the empty mountain rises above the hubbub. Therefore, a fresh and vivid night scene in the mountains reflects a empty word. An empty mountain on an autumn night in the mountains is obviously not an empty mountain, but a feeling of the soul. This feeling shows inner emptiness and tranquility. This is the same as the empty mountain in Chai Lu. There are such quatrains from time to time in his collection of Wangchuan.

The branches of the topmost hibiscus flowers are full of scarlet calyx in the mountains. The mouth of a stream is silent, without a trace. They open and fall.

People are idle, osmanthus flowers fall, and the night is quiet and empty. At the beginning of the month, birds are startled, and spring streams are singing.

Here, moving is static, and static is moving; Real and empty, color is empty. Ontology is outside them, they are one. This is the stillness in the movement, the emptiness in the real scene, the noumenon in many phenomena and the eternity in the instant intuition. Flowers bloom and fall, birds sing in the spring stream, but at this moment of insight into nature, you feel immortal.
