Ezra Pound (1885-1972), the main founder of the Imagist movement. His major works include "Mask" (1909), "Counterattack" (1912), "Sacrifice" (1916), "Hugh Sylvain Maubely" (1920) and "Poetry" (1917-1959). Pound was also a translator keen on introducing Chinese classical poetry and philosophy. He adapted and translated Confucian classics such as "Travel to China", "The Book of Songs" and "The Analects of Confucius".
