Caigan Yin, a native of Vu Thang, Sichuan, was praised as "the most outstanding contemporary image poet in China" by Professor Li Li, Ph.D. in Translation Studies, Chinese University of Hong Kong, for his unique image poems. His creative achievements were recorded in the world's first literary history of image poetry, Translation and Dissemination of Image Poetry (English version), and he became the first contemporary local poet who really went abroad in Gaoshi Township, Wusheng County, Guang 'an City. Although his exploration of imagery poetry was praised by many people, it was also opposed and resisted by some poets.
Chen Lin, a lecturer and doctor of literature at the School of Humanities of Kunming University, believes that the language media of new poetry bears the weight of semantics, which inevitably collides with the trend of the times and directly restricts the discourse construction form of the creative subject. In the contemporary context, China's new poetry has to face strong cross-media deconstruction ability and richer experimental form exploration. The formal experiment of new poetry takes the emotional expression inside as the starting point. The sensory impact and mental conflict brought by images also affect the changes of language rhythm and internal emotional structure to a great extent. Caigan Yin, a Sichuan poet, wrote a lot of such vivid poems, such as this one "Warm Spring". From the visual form, this poem is like an umbrella, giving people a warm feeling of being cared for.
