During this period, there were not only poets in the middle and early Tang Dynasty-Dali Ten Talents (namely, Li Duan, Lu Lun, Ji Zhongfu, Han Yi, Qian Qi, Si Kongshu, Miao Fa, Cui Yao, Geng Wei and Xia Houdun), but also poets with high artistic achievements and great influence in Dali poetry. They care about reality and sympathize with people's sufferings. There are also the New Yuefu Poetry School represented by Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi, the style innovation of Han Yu and Meng Jiao, and the Yuan and relegated groups such as Liu Zongyuan and Liu Yuxi.
In prose creation, the most outstanding achievement is the ancient prose movement initiated by Han Yu and Liu Zongyuan. This movement not only caused great waves in the Tang Dynasty, but also deeply influenced the theoretical proposition and literary creation of literary groups in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
There is no doubt that Han Yu, Liu Zongyuan and Bai Juyi, as the most important leaders of the poetry and prose movement in the middle Tang Dynasty, naturally occupy a more important position in the history of literature.
