Imagism is the earliest school of modern poetry in the early 20th century. 1908- 1909 was formed in Britain, and was later introduced to the United States and the Soviet Union. Representative figures are Hume, Pound, amy lowell and Ye Saining.
1, ezra pound, American poet and literary critic, an important representative of Imagist poetry movement, and a member of American Academy of Arts and Literature. He and Eliot are both representatives of symbolism poetry in the later period. He gave birth to the theory of "artistic conception" from China's classical poems and Japanese haiku, and made outstanding contributions to the mutual reference of eastern and western poems.
Pound's most famous work is In the Subway Station, a masterpiece of Imagism: the evaluation of faces in the crowd; These faces flashed through the crowd like a mirage; )
2. Amy Lowell
Amy lowell, a native of amy lowell, 1874- 1925, is an American poet. Her first collection of poems, The Colorful Glass Roof (19 12), adopted traditional writing techniques. But in 19 13, she stood out from the experimental imagist movement and became the movement leader after ezra pound.
Representative poetry collections include Men, Women and Ghosts, Ukiyo-e, Dongfeng and Selected Poems of Emily Lowell. The collection of comments includes six French poets.
