"Gantang" is a poem in "The Book of Songs·Zhaonan". Mao Chuan explained the poetic meaning of this poem as:
Mei Zhao Bo Ye. Zhao Bo's teachings were revealed in the Southern Kingdom.
"The Collection of Poems of the Three Schools of Poetry" says:
Zhao Gong's rule in the West has greatly brought peace to the people. When Zhao Gong was patrolling the countryside, he found a tang tree. He was imprisoned to hear the case. Since Hou Bo, the common people have all found their own place, and no one has neglected their duties. The Duke of Zhao died, but the people thought of the government of the Duke and cherished Gantang and did not dare to cut it down. Instead, they sang about it and composed the poem "Gantang".
It means that there was a high-ranking official in the Zhou Dynasty. People called him Zhao Gong. , so people love him very much. Later, he died. In order to commemorate him, people have been protecting the Gantang tree and wrote this poem.
There have always been two opinions about Zhao Bo in the poem. One theory is that it is Zhao Gongshi (pronounced "Zhao Gong") during the reign of King Wen and King Wu of the Zhou Dynasty. He assisted civil and military forces in establishing the four dynasties of Kangxi and stood on equal footing with the Duke of Zhou. Another theory is that Zhao Bohu during the reign of King Zhou Xuan once assisted King Xuan of Zhou in conquering Huaiyi in the south, and later moved eastward with King Ping of Zhou, with outstanding achievements.

The meaning of the second chapter is the tall Tangli tree, please do not cut it off or destroy it. Because Zhao Gong once rested under this tree.
Bai, Tongpa, pull out. Say, pass the tax, stop the carriage and take a rest, which means to stop.
The meaning of Chapter 3 is the tall Tangli tree, please do not prune it or pull it out. Because Zhao Gong once parked his car and rested under this tree.
The whole poem is about a tree, but through this tree it expresses people’s nostalgia for good officials, because Zhao Gong once handled cases under this tree and protected the people. For thousands of years, people have always remembered it.
Even though there are so many injustices in the world, people have never forgotten those who really did things for the people.
