The school of pastoral poetry is a school of ancient Chinese poetry, and the most important representative is Tao Yuanming, a poet in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Throughout the ages, Tao Yuanming's poetry and art have had a far-reaching impact on later generations. Landscape pastoral poetry is a school of its own, which has always influenced the creation and development of later poets. Most of Tao Yuanming's poems are based on rural life, which comes from his deep feelings for rural life.
Some are close to spoken English, some are similar to folk songs, and some are straightforward, which directly shows the author's feelings of loving farming and reading life. Language is plain and natural, unpretentious without any color, giving people a fresh, pure, beautiful feeling and poetic feeling.
2. Introduction to Tao Yuanming:
Tao Yuanming (about 365-427), with a cheerful personality (once said that his name was hidden and his word was deep), was nicknamed Mr. Wu Liu, who lived in private and was known as Mr. Jing. Yifeng, Jiangxi, Chaisang, Xunyang (now Jiujiang, Jiangxi), was a poet, lyricist and essayist in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

Tao Yuanming is the first poet in the history of China literature who wrote a large number of drinking poems. Tao Yuanming, who claimed to be a "sexual alcoholic" in the Biography of Mr. May 6th, not only regretted that his family was poor and he could not drink all the time, but also asserted that he would hold a grudge against "not enough alcohol" before his death.
2, poetry:
Tao Yuanming's nostalgic poems are mainly composed of 13 poems reading the classics of mountains and seas and 12 miscellaneous poems. The former expressed Tao Yuanming's unconventional personality by lamenting the anecdotes in Shan Hai Jing, while the latter expressed Tao Yuanming's suppression of ambition and pursuit of purity after his retirement.
3. Pastoral poetry:
Tao Yuanming has the largest number of pastoral poems. In Tao Yuanming's collected works, there are also 17 directly written about farming. He described the countryside as an ideal life scene. In his pastoral life, peace, tranquility and leisure, the relationship between people is sincere and simple, and mutual communication is happy and harmonious.
4. Prose Ci Fu:
Tao Yuanming's famous essays and ci poems include Biography of Mr. Wu Liu, The Story of Peach Blossom Garden and Ci Poems of Xi after Seclusion.
In the Biography of Mr. Wuliu, Tao Yuanming initiated the official biography of Mr. Wuliu. At the beginning, I introduce Mr. Wu Liu: "I don't know who Mr. Wu Liu is, and I don't know his last name." Then he described Mr. Wu Liu's interests: reading, drinking and writing articles. It does not describe life stories, but emphasizes life interest and self-narrative feelings.
