The Big House Contemporary Art Center is located in the middle of No.1 Road and No.4 Road in Yuan Jun Courtyard, Lanwan, Wuchang. The building was originally the office of Wuchang No.1 Textile Factory, with a three-story brick-concrete structure overlooking the intersection of the two rivers, and there are bustling banks and Wuchang Jiangtan Park nearby. It is a century-old classic building designed by Jingming foreign firm in Britain. It is a window and platform for cultural exchanges between Wuhan and the rest of the world, with art and culture as the media.
The main building is a western-style bell tower with white walls and blue tiles. The whole art center is divided into four floors, the first and second floors are art exhibition halls. The third floor is a cultural exchange area, and the basement on the first floor is now a wine cellar after renovation. Act as a wine museum. Usually only the first and second floors are open for exhibitions.
