Two-room couplets in the building: looking out of the window, the old scene remains the same, and it is the Spring Festival. The stark contrast between the old scene (dead scene) in the "cave dwelling" (of course, it refers to the muck cave, which can also be understood as the Kuomintang-ruled area) and the "Spring Festival" (vibrant and vibrant spring scenery) outside the window (compared with "cave dwelling", it can be understood as the liberated area)
The building of the three rooms borrowed a poem from the Southern Song Dynasty poet Ye Shaoweng's A Garden Not Worth Visiting —— "all loves can't be caged, and an apricot comes out of the wall". A little change ("all loves" becomes "all love") made the antithesis more neat, and the banner of "Spring in the Earth" clearly showed the good situation of the revolution. It was futile for Kuomintang reactionaries to stop people from fighting for light and freedom.
The couplets "two skylights-ventilation" and "one air door-extension" in Room 7 truly describe the prison environment, while the banner "Enjoy it" profoundly expresses the revolutionaries' persistence in the revolutionary cause and their lofty spirit regardless of personal life and death.
(1) "It's only been a few months in the cave, and it's been a thousand years on earth" describes the rapid development of the revolutionary situation, and the banner "Around Gankun" means overthrowing the reactionaries.
(2) "Geleshan Enlightenment and Zhatu Cave Zen" refers to the revolutionary way, Marxist-Leninist Zen. "Elysium" shows that people have mastered the revolutionary truth.
(3) Looking out of the window, it is already the Spring Festival. The "old scene" refers to the rule of the Kuomintang reactionaries, and the "Spring Festival" refers to the prospect of the revolution's imminent victory throughout the country. Together with the banner "All difficulties are coming", it expresses the revolutionaries' belief in the imminent victory of the revolution and their vision for the future.
④ Spring can't close the garden, and an almond goes out of the wall: Borrowing the poems of the ancients, it not only expresses contempt for the reactionaries (it's futile to stop the revolutionary victory), but also expresses hope for victory (an almond goes out of the wall). The banner of "Return in Spring" vividly summarizes the revolutionary situation at that time.
⑤ Two skylights-vent and damper-protrude. This couplet summarizes the inhuman life of revolutionaries in prison. Root forehead "enjoys it" expresses the revolutionary feelings of revolutionaries who enjoy suffering, and it is also a clever exposure of reactionaries persecuting revolutionaries.
