Poems by the poet Kitajima

one

When the janitor sleeps.

You turn around with the storm

What grows old in hugs is

The Rose of Time

When the bird road defines the sky

You look back at the sunset

What happened in the disappearance was

The Rose of Time

When the knife bends in the water

You stepped on the flute to cross the bridge.

What is crying in the plot is

The Rose of Time

When the stroke is beyond the horizon

You were awakened by the sound of gongs in the East.

What the echo shows is that

The Rose of Time

This moment will always be in the mirror.

The door to rebirth at this moment

This door leads to the sea.

The Rose of Time

-"Rose of Time"

About five or six years ago, I first saw Kitajima's Rose of Time in the bookstore, which caught my eye instantly: I was attracted by Kitajima, the author and poet; Attracted by poetic titles. It suddenly occurred to me that time has the beauty of love in roses, but roses have eternal significance in time. As an object and image, "rose" carries many meanings in the eyes of poets. German poet Rilke was so obsessed with "rose" that he wrote in his epitaph, "No one sleeps", which is a metaphor for himself. The existence and flow of rose can only be integrated in the sleep of rose, and rose can enter the stone, just as stone is the rose itself, just as rose enters the long river of time and can live forever. For some reason, I didn't buy the book in time, but I always remember it. Sometimes missing just waits. It was not until 20 15 that the collection of North Island was newly published by Sanlian Bookstore. One day in late autumn, I put it on the shelf with North Island's resumes "Wave", "The End of the World" and "Rose of Time". Book lovers laughed at my meeting ten years late, because the first edition of Rose of Time was published in 2005 and was revised in 2009. I should have seen this revised edition in the bookstore at first.

? The Rose of Time lies in the fact that North Island is both a poem and a book. As a late creation of Beidao's poetry, The Rose of Time still brings readers his usual "surprisingly calm and profound thinking" in the poet's unique "cold lyric" way. There are many figurative and symbolic images in this poem, such as storm, sky, sunset, knife, bridge, horizon, gong and sea. Under the poet's multiple creations, it is to bring the "rose of time" to a distant place. In sharp contrast to the cool tone of the poem A Rose of Time, it is the "heat" of the book A Rose of Time.

? The book "Rose of Time" collects the poetics in the column "Golden Chain of the Century" written by Kitajima in Harvest magazine from 2004 to 2005. These words were written in his journey around the world after he went abroad, which was the result of his intentional collision with western culture with the humility of an oriental. As a poet, Kitajima pursues the footprints of nine poets who have made special contributions to 20th century poetry, and combines the interpretation of their dazzling poems handed down from generation to generation to bring us closer to the world with lorca, Trakel, Rilke, Celan, Trondstrom, Mandelshtam, Pasternak, Aiki and Dylan. Under the guidance of Beidao, I got a general understanding of the most brilliant golden age of poetry in human history in the 20th century. For these nine poets, Kitajima has devoted himself to deep feelings, and at least five of them are well known and loved by me. In North Island's works, I will get to know them again, and unknown people will have the opportunity to know them. Some people say that this book is a biography of poetry, and I have read its uniqueness.

Poetry exudes a lasting fragrance in the rose of time, and we are not only intoxicated, but also meditated.

? My early reading of foreign poems benefited from the series Poetry Garden and Yilin published by Hunan People's Publishing House in 1980s. Among them, lorca's seven poems were translated into Selected Modern Spanish Poetry by Wang, namely: Three Rivers Ballad, Small Radio Ballad, Rider's Song, Moon and Spanish Constitutional Police Ballad. The first thing Beidao read was a poem translated by Dai Wangshu in lorca, which was a translation in the early 1970s. Later, he introduced lorca to Gu Cheng, so Gu Cheng's poems were stained with the color of lorca. Accurately speaking, when Dai Wangshu traveled to Europe in 1930s, lorca Poetry Banknotes published by Writers Publishing House 1956 was the original form of lorca's poetry translation. In the postscript of the book, Shi Zhecun, a friend of Dai Wangshu, wrote: "The late poet Dai Wangshu made a trip from Paris to Spain in 1933, which was an important achievement. Besides? Lorca's understanding.

This is the first book of poetry, Poems in Stone, published by Mandelshtam, the most outstanding genius poet in the Russian Silver Age, in 19 13. He was 22 years old that year, and his budding stone was immediately praised by the leading figures in Russian poetry at the beginning of the century. Some critics believe that this collection of poems is the first step of Mandelshtam's "poetic understanding of the world and time", and it is full of premonition of social changes and century disasters. The poet initially showed various elements of his creative style: strict rules, dignified words, objective objects, architectural sense in modeling and poetic cultural color. This poem is the earliest one I read in Mandelshtam's poems, and I was immediately moved by the internal rhythm of its language and the poet's pursuit of stone-like calm, hard and lasting poetic characteristics. In order to get to know this poet and understand his poems, I looked for Wang's Dancing in the Golden Sky, Huang Canran's Selected Poems of Mandelstam, and the intelligent translation of Shell, as well as the Memoirs of Mrs. Mandelstam by his wife Najera Mandelstam. Reading multiple versions at the same time can help us understand the characteristics and inner meaning of Mann's poems more deeply in a short time, because all translators feel the same way. Human poetry is difficult to translate. For readers with language barriers, how to successfully reach Mann's poetic world and spiritual realm through translation needs to give full play to readers' imagination and initiative. Multiple versions are one more possibility, because "Mandelshtam is a great man, he must read comprehensively and cross the language barrier." Therefore, Huang Canran made a respectful recommendation to Wang's translation by his peers in the postscript, which is touching. Poetry translation seems to be a reminder, but it does not represent the full connotation of the poet's original work. Huang Canran said that different translators' different translation styles are reminders from different angles.

I think this is not a sign of the translator's modesty, but a kind reminder from a person who has got the essence of Mann's poetry.
