This poem was written around the twenty-ninth year of Kaiyuan. Wang Changling left Beijing for Jiangning (now Nanjing) and became friends with Xin gradually. This time, he intends to cross the river from Runzhou, pass through Yangzhou and go north to Luoyang. Wang Changling may accompany him from Jiangning to Runzhou, and then break up here.
