Life and self are not for overcoming, but for getting along.

Life is all about letting go, but the saddest thing is not taking the time to say goodbye.

Life is to let go, but unfortunately we haven't had time to say goodbye.

Directed by Ang Lee and adapted from Yann Martel's novel of the same name published on 200 1, this film tells a gripping and magnificent fantasy adventure story.

Through the artistic techniques of images and metaphors, a wonderful world is outlined, sometimes calm and sometimes stormy, which makes people fascinated.

At the beginning of the film, I followed the camera into a primitive forest zoo. In this huge zoo, all kinds of animals live quietly according to the rules, and human beings are the most unique animals.

Here, "zoo" is more like a rational social survival law, with restrictions, rules and tacit subordination.

This combination with the overall story structure of the film gives more imagination space outside of real life, and also shows the cruel jungle law that runs through it.

As the father in the film said:

The animal in front of you must know where it stands, whether it is above you or below you. Social class is very important to their lifestyle.

When an animal is in front of you, it must know whether its position is higher or lower than yours. The life it leads depends on its social class.

The name of the film hero "Pi" is taken from the constant π, which is called infinite cycle and an irrational number that never repeats and never ends.

This is very similar to the absurd nature of exploring fear and longing for the unknown by the juvenile school.

In the film, Pai's father runs a zoo, in which all kinds of animals have their own names, and Pai has been with these animals since childhood.

In Pai's subconscious, he always believed that in the eyes of animals, he saw not only his own reflection, but also what he really felt ~

Later, when Pai was 9 years old, he tried to get close to a Bengal tiger (Richard Parker).

After being discovered by his father, he tried his best, and finally completely destroyed the curiosity of the unknown at the party with the bloody lesson in front of him.

The way of thinking of animals is fundamentally different from that of people. The variability of animals represents the fear of the unknown. If you forget this, people will die at any time.

At the beginning of the film story, the middle-aged school said in memory:

I must talk about fear. It is the only real opponent of life. Only fear can conquer life.

In life, only fear is your opponent, and only fear can defeat you.

It will attack your weakness and find it easily. It always starts in your mind.

It can easily find and attack your weaknesses without mistakes, and fear will always come from your heart.

In the film, the discussion about faith runs through. For India, there are more than a dozen different gods, three of which are Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu.

Every special festival, people will dress up and sacrifice to the great god with a sumptuous banquet.

At this time, the father of the pie will warn the child:

Don't be deceived by these things and scenery, son, the society is very complicated.

Don't be confused by these things and situations, son. Society is very complicated.

Faith is just a means of life, which can make people break through the limitations and explore the unknown beyond reason.

The youth faction in the film once believed in three religions at the same time, and often with a grain of salt, and never really convinced their hearts.

To this, pie has explained:

Faith is like a house, it can have many rooms.

Faith is like a house, which can have many rooms.

In order to live a better life, Pai's father decided to sell the zoo, transport all the animals to Canada by Japanese cargo ship, and move his family to Canada at the same time.

On the boat, there is a violent French chef who cruelly cooks with the meat of various animals. Pai's mother refused to provide her with food because she insisted on being a vegetarian. For this reason, Pai's father had a big fight, but in the end it ended.

There is also a gentle sailor who, out of kindness, once kindly comforted the family of the Sect.

Longing for the unknown pie, praying for the coming of the storm, he fantasized about witnessing the miracle of God.

Then, when a severe storm came, the ecstatic pie climbed to the bow excitedly, but in the dark, the huge waves instantly overturned the boat.

When he realized that the disaster was coming, his parents and younger brother had already been submerged by the backward seawater, and he was forcibly thrown into the lifeboat by the crew in a panic.

When he woke up the next day, Pai found several escaped animals on board, including zebras, orangutans, hyenas and a middle-aged Bengal tiger.

However, there is still a threat among the surviving animals. In the end, the grumpy hyenas killed zebras and orangutans, and were later killed by Bengal tigers.

Pie remembered his father's warning and escaped early, always on high alert.

It is because of his fear of Bengal tiger and his long-term taming that he spent a long and lonely 227 days at sea.

In a ship's survival guide, sent repeatedly read:

The most important thing is not to despair.

The most important thing is not to despair.

However, the weather at sea was extremely bad, and a violent storm overturned all the food in the sea.

The school with nothing, from questioning God's arrangement to finally accepting it silently, has gone through the road from doubt to firm belief.

I lost my family. I lost everything. I surrender. What do you want?

I lost my family, I lost everything, I surrendered, what else do you want?

God, thank you for giving me life. I'm ready.

God, thank you for giving me life. I was ready for this.

Even though God seems to have abandoned me, he is still looking at me.

Even though he seems indifferent to my pain, he is watching me.

When I was desperate, he gave me rest.

Gave me a signal to continue my journey.

When we thought we were abandoned and lost ourselves, God looked on. When I completely gave up hope, he gave me peace and reminded me to start over.

When Pai woke up from hunger and thirst again, he was drifted to an island. After landing, he found a crystal clear fresh water pool, many fruits and thousands of mongooses.

However, after the surprise, Pai discovered that this is a man-eating island, which is safest during the day and will be melted by various plants after dark.

So, Pai took enough water and fruit, as well as mongoose, and Richard, a Bengal tiger, once again set foot on a drifting trip in Shanghai.

Due to long-term food domestication, Pai and Bengal tiger Richard seem to have established some kind of cooperative relationship, so they went hand in hand and were finally found on the Mexican coast.

Richard, a Bengal tiger, went deep into the forest and disappeared without looking back.

Suddenly, Pai felt very depressed because he had not had time to say goodbye to his old friend Richard.

When Japanese investigators came to ask, Pai explained these experiences one by one, but they were questioned. In desperation, Bai told another version of the story.

Therefore, the hyenas on the lifeboat represent French chefs, zebras represent young sailors, orangutans represent Pai's mother, and Bengal tigers represent Pai himself.

The same story, but people only choose to believe the truth they are willing to accept.

The film shows the eternal jungle law of human society and nature, as well as people's curiosity and fear of the unknown, and expresses people's growing attitude towards life through experience and letting go.

No matter how life comes to you, you must accept it.

Depression is just a shadow cast by clouds passing by, and it soon disappears.

The most important thing in life is not to despair.

You must accept the way of life and make full use of it.

You should take things as they are and enjoy life as much as possible.
