The complete poem of farewell to Wang Bo in Qiujiang River

Farewell on the Autumn River"

Tang Wangbo

It is early autumn in a foreign country,

The bright moon in the Jiangting Pavilion carries the river flow.

Already aware of the passing of the river, I feel sad about leaving the boat.

Looking at the Jinshu hidden in the boat again.

This is a farewell poem, originally a group of poems, and the first one is chosen here. The title of the poem "Farewell on the Autumn River" reveals its importance as if it were the finishing touch: first, it is the season, which is the symbol of autumn; second, it is the location, which is the river bank; and third, it is the event, which is the farewell. These three things are inherently good emotional guides. Such integration is simply greater than the infinite possibility of one plus one plus one, thus naturally amplifying the emotional intensity of this poem.

"It's early autumn in a foreign country." Living in a foreign land far away from my hometown, I have long become a foreigner without any foundation. Now it happens to be the early autumn season. How can we not feel extremely sad under such circumstances? Memories suddenly surged up like a tide, and the faces of relatives and friends in my hometown came to mind one by one, and infinite sadness filled my heart in an instant.

We were originally strangers in a foreign land, but now we are saying goodbye to our friends. With such two separations, hatred and hatred destroying each other, no one's mood will be peaceful, it will definitely be as chaotic as numbness. The poet uses two words "morning" in succession. The first one points out his current living situation, and the second one implicitly uses the current season to set off people's complicated mood. Autumn is desolate and the autumn wind is bleak. It was originally particularly heartbreaking and anxious. Now, coupled with the fact that you are far away from your hometown, the combination of the two can be said to be a great collision of emotions, which can even spark the spark of emotion. The unprovoked encounters in life highlight the true feelings in the heart.
