The position of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi in the history of literature

1, yuan Zhen

Yuanhe Poetry is an important turning point in the history of China's poetry development, and it is also a transitional period in which the Tang tune gradually changed to the Song tune. As one of the important poets with irreplaceable significance in this new change, Yuan Zhen occupies an important position in the history of China's poetry.

2. Bai Juyi

As a great poet with great influence in the mid-Tang Dynasty, his poetic thought and creation, with its outstanding emphasis on popularity and realism, is known as the "Poet Saint" and "Poet King" and occupies an important position in the history of China's poetry. His poetic thoughts are mainly based on the creation of early satirical poems.

The New Yuefu Movement is a poetic innovation movement advocated by Tang poets Bai Juyi, Yuan Zhen, Zhang Ji and Li Shen. It advocates restoring the system of ancient poetry anthology, carrying forward the tradition of satirizing current events in the Book of Songs and the Yuefu of Han and Wei Dynasties, making poetry play the role of "sizing up the situation" and "releasing human feelings", and emphasizing the use of self-created new Yuefu to recite current events, hence the name of the new Yuefu. The so-called new Yuefu is relative to the ancient Yuefu.

Pi Rixiu, Nie and Du Xunhe, poets in the late Tang Dynasty, inherited the spirit of the new Yuefu. Pi Rixiu's ten poems and three shameful poems, Nie's Journey to the Childe, Du Xunhe's Widow in the Mountain and Houhui Village Rebellion, profoundly exposed the cruelty and decay of the rulers in the late Tang Dynasty and the social reality before and after the peasant war in the late Tang Dynasty.
