First of all, the legend of the arrival of the "real dragon emperor" soon spread to Dadu (now Beijing). The Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty sent a letter to the wizard in Shen Han, asking him to set up an altar to calculate the location of the "real dragon emperor" arrival. After three days and three nights, the gods and the Han people said, "The real dragon emperor came to Haozhou around Huaichu." Immediately, the emperor of the Yuan Dynasty issued an imperial edict, and the Haozhou government acted according to the imperial edict. A large number of officers and men searched around, set up checkpoints at intersections and bridges, and killed all the newborn babies with outstanding appearance. One day, after searching in the old county (now Nvshanhu Town, mingguang city), a group of officers and men turned back to Haozhou and passed Moshan, and heard a baby crying. Several officers and men followed the sound and rushed into the room where the baby cried. A soldier raised a knife and was about to chop the baby to death. Zhu Yuanzhang's mother Chen hurriedly knelt on the ground, hugged the soldier's hand with a knife and begged. At first glance, other soldiers are beggars; Look at the baby, black as charcoal and thin as a cat, with a pointed face, upturned upper jaw and a broken diaper. A soldier with a broken nose said with a smile, "If this child is really the dragon emperor, I can be the jade emperor." Another soldier said, "Forget it, it's also a life. Let's accumulate some virtue. " A group of officers and men all left. Later, I heard that the soldier with a broken nose was enjoying the cool under a big tree. A dead branch from the tree penetrated his chest and back, and he died.
In A.D. 1333, Yuan Shundi ascended the throne and heard that the "real dragon emperor" was still alive. He accused Haozhou and Xuyi of being incompetent and killing the whole family. At the same time, he ordered the search for children who were killed in the past to continue. One day, a God Han reported to the emperor that around the seventh day of the winter month, the "real dragon emperor" was wearing a silver flower hat, a sheepskin coat and a gold belt around his waist, riding a bordeaux horse and escorting Taiping Ji with two guards with steel heads and bronze backs. At that time, Taipingji (now mingguang city) belonged to Xuyi County, and the new magistrate did not dare to neglect it. From the first day of the winter moon, he personally took people to Taipingji, and then set up checkpoints at various intersections to strictly investigate and deal with them. At that time, the chicken flew and the dog jumped, making people panic. Many families with children aged six or seven hide their children, and if they are caught by officers and soldiers, they will be killed. Eight or nine consecutive days passed, and more than 20 children died in Taiping Temple. There are fewer children, fewer people on the road, and the officers and men are exhausted. The new magistrate feels that it is almost enough. He decided to conduct another day of investigation tomorrow, which will be ten days. Perhaps the "True Dragon Son of Heaven" was also involved in more than 20 murders in/kloc-0. The next day, on the tenth day of the winter month, officers and men on duty cards arrived early to strictly investigate pedestrians with children from south to north. People are anxious for the sun to walk slowly, so the officers and men on duty finally wait until they leave their posts. There are several people on the road ahead and a child in the distance. The officers and men raised their spears and clenched their knives. They approached. Hi! It turned out to be a beggar's child, bald, covered in white scabs, stinking in the sun, wearing a broken cotton-padded jacket with cotton wool everywhere, without a button, only a straw tied to the harvesting table, dragging a dog stick as a horse stall, still running and jumping. A soldier stepped forward and shouted, "Stop! How old is it? What do you do? " The bald boy rolled his eyes at the soldier, took out a beggar from his pocket and said, "Fifteen, beggar." Zhu Yuanzhang was only seven years old at that time, but he was very tall and looked old all day. He really looks like a teenager. The interrogator smelled a foul smell and covered his nose with his hand: "Go, go!" " Next to the pedestrians is a small vendor selling bronze mirrors and a farmer with a new iron pot on his head. Legend has it that Zhu Yuanzhang wore a "silver hat" to talk about white scabies, a "sheepskin coat" to talk about a broken coat that leaked cotton wool, a "golden belt" around his waist to talk about a straw rope, a mare on his legs, and dog stick, a steel-toed copper-backed bodyguard, talked about buying pots and selling bronze mirrors. The officers and men who pursued at that time did not see through it.
A few years later, Yuan Shundi got the news that the beggar boy with bald sores was the "real dragon emperor" and swaggered away from the interrogation sentry. Yuan Shundi flew into a rage and issued a decree that all bald begging children under the age of ten should be put to death. So a third bloodbath took place in Haozhou, killing teenage bald begging children. But Zhu Yuanzhang was already herding cattle at his uncle's house 30 miles away from Mingguang, and he was no longer a beggar who walked around and begged thousands of families.
Zhu Yuanzhang escaped three times in a row. Finally, it was the little beggar's bald head who led the peasant uprising army, overthrew the Yuan Dynasty and established Daming Mountain. The story of Zhu Yuanzhang's childhood was gradually deified in folklore.
