Analysis of English Poetry

It belongs to English sonnets. After Italian sonnets were introduced into England, the structure changed. English is divided into three paragraphs, four sentences and the last two sentences. The last two sentences are usually very different from the previous ones, which are more varied than the ninth sentence in Italian class. The rhymes of general English sonnets are a-b-a-b, c-d-c-d, e-f-e-f, g-g, or A-B-A-B, B-C-B-C, C-D-C-D, E-E.

Shakespeare's sonnets take love, time and beauty as their themes, but their thoughts surpass those of their predecessors.

Here, the poet directly expressed his great love and his lover with his imagination, and promoted the theme of truth, goodness and beauty.
