Key words such as carbon emission reduction, low carbon, carbon dioxide emission peak and carbon neutrality are frequently mentioned in the Party's Report to the 20th CPC National Congress, and the work of "double carbon" has become an important part of China's modernization strategic layout. The report comprehensively deployed the work of "double carbon" from the aspects of the transformation of development mode, the adjustment and optimization of industrial structure and energy structure, and clarified the basic principles, direction and working ideas for promoting related work in the future. To promote carbon neutrality at the peak of carbon dioxide emission, it is necessary to be firm, scientific and orderly, urgent and slow.
On the one hand, to promote the "double carbon" work, we must rely on ourselves, and we must not maintain strategic strength and take the initiative because of some changes in the international and domestic situation. On the other hand, promoting "double carbon" is a complex, arduous and long-term task, which cannot be divorced from reality and eager to achieve success. To engage in "carbon charging" and "sudden braking", we must base ourselves on the national conditions, slowly and steadily, step by step, and maintain stable economic and social development while reducing carbon.
On promoting green development and harmony between man and nature, the report points out that:
Nature is the basic condition for human survival and development. Respecting nature, conforming to nature and protecting nature are the inherent requirements of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way. We should firmly establish and practice the concept that beautiful scenery is priceless, and plan development from the height of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
Promote the construction of beautiful China, adhere to the integrated protection and systematic management of mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes, grass and sand, coordinate industrial structure adjustment, pollution control and ecological protection, cope with climate change, jointly promote carbon reduction and emission reduction, green growth, and promote ecological priority, conservation and intensive, green and low-carbon development.
