It means: every grass and tree has its own heart. They don't need beauty to fold, but seek the appreciation of others.
This sentence comes from one of the "Feelings" written by Zhang Jiuling, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. The original poem is:
Orchids are also spring, and osmanthus is also autumn.
Life in the world is full of vitality, which naturally conforms to the beautiful season.
Who wants to live in seclusion in the mountains and smell the fragrance, so full of joy.
Won't it be more demanding to be transplanted than any other natural flower? ?
This is a group of twelve poems named "Feeling" written by the poet who was persecuted by the traitors Li, Niu Xianke and demoted after the strike. People who "experience" feel that they have met. "One" is selected from the first poem in this group. This poem compares Chunlan and Qiugui, and expresses his noble character of standing in Xiu De and keeping evil and righteousness.
One or two sentences in the poem: "orchids are luxuriant, osmanthus is sweet and autumn is bright", starting with things, leading to the object of comparison. You see, the bluegrass in spring is in full bloom, flourishing and full of vitality; Autumn osmanthus leaves are green and yellow, bright and clean, and fragrant. "Blooming" and "Bright" reproduce the upward flowing characteristics of Chunlan and Qiuguibo.
Three or four sentences in the poem have the meaning of one or two sentences, pointing out that Chunlan and Qiugui are "self-contained as life" and are thriving and full of vitality because of "adapting to the season". Now that we are separated; Well, that's what it means. In other words, they each bloom in the right season (spring and autumn). Show the life characteristics of "carat" and "light". It is pointed out here that Chunlan and Qiugui have adapted to the characteristics of "festivals" respectively; It also implies that orchids and laurels grow and prosper according to their own nature, and they don't flatter others, which is the essential feature of Dont Ask For Help's knowledge.
Five or six sentences in the poem describe people's appreciation of Lan and Gui. Use the word "who knows" first, from the image of the first four sentences to the description of people. Those "people in the forest", that is, hermits who live in seclusion in the mountains, often use orchids and laurel trees as metaphors, so they are "seduced by the fragrant wind and satisfied" and suddenly feel amazed when they smell the fragrance of orchids and laurel trees. Sitting and sedentary means deep love and special love.
There are seven or eight sentences in the poem: "Won't it need transplanting more than other natural flowers?" ? The comprehensive meaning reaffirms the noble qualities of Lan and Rong Gui. Although Lan and Gui are appreciated and admired, they do not seek "beauty" (forest people) to cling to appreciation. It is because of their nature ("initial heart") that they are lush in spring and bright in autumn, not for the appreciation of "beauty".
The whole poem means: Chunlan and Qiugui, sages and gentlemen, are honest and upright. They entered Xiu De not for fame and fortune, but to do their duty as human beings. Naturally, Chunlan and Qiugui are also metaphors of poets, which shows that although they are spurned by traitors, they still have strong and lofty integrity.
In addition, a few digressions, the interpretation and appreciation of the poem, may not conform to the author's original intention, as long as the reader can feel something and make sense, this is also a great gain.
