I believe there are not many Chengdu people who have never been to Huanhuaxi Park. This park, which covers an area of about 500 mu, was once the largest and most invested urban forest park in Chengdu and the only five-star park.
The geographical location of Du Fu Caotang in the north and Sichuan Provincial Museum in the east has built a unique cultural heritage of Huanhuaxi Park. As soon as you enter the park, it is a huge sculpture of Du Fu, the poet saint.
The park consists of Wanshu Garden, Meiyuan Garden and Egret Garden. The close relationship between Huanhuaxi and Du Fu can be seen from the place names such as Poet Sage Square, Reading and Singing, Chang 'an Deep Thinking and Living in Qin Zhou on the tourist map. Walking through these scenic spots seems to be an overview of the poet's magnificent life.
This 388-meter-long "Poetry Avenue" is also engraved with the images, dynasties, years of birth and death and quatrains of more than 300 ancient China poets, thus building a poetic cultural journey.
The natural landscape of Huanhuaxi Park is equally outstanding. Whether it's Egret Island where birds return to the pool and fish jump in the sunset, or Canglang Lake with two rivers and two bridges in the mirror, it's worth spending time to visit.
The artistic conception in poetry and the real landscape are perfectly integrated here. No wonder Huanhuaxi Park has been one of the most popular parks in Chengdu for so many years.
