On the Similarities and Differences between Mei and Poetry Style

1, Similarities: Both of them were important figures in the early Northern Song Dynasty, collectively known as "Su Mei". Their literary ideas, poetic contents, artistic techniques and status are very similar. As far as literary ideas are concerned, they, like Ouyang Xiu, strongly criticized the poetic style of the late Tang Dynasty and advocated that literature should serve reality. Su Shi's poems are full of passion, gratitude and frustration, and the language is bright and heroic.
