Xiangxuehai refers to Guangfu Town, where plum blossoms bloom in a large area on the coast of Taihu Lake. It has always been a good place for tourists to enjoy plum blossoms in the spring. The "exploring the plum blossoms" here is a magnificent sight handed down from generation to generation.
Once upon a time, in Guangfu Town, "there were seven or eight people who planted plums out of ten". In the early spring, "there are flowers everywhere, and I don't know the distance." In the thirty-fifth year of Kangxi (A.D. 1696), Luo Song, the governor of Jiangsu Province, came here to enjoy plum blossoms, but he saw Bai Mei as the sea, with a faint fragrance, and the inscription "Xiang" was engraved on the cliff.
Xiangmeihua, Hangchaoshan, Ningmeihuashan and Wuxi Meiyuan are also called the four major plum viewing resorts in China. This is the most famous place. Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited the mountains several times to admire plums and wrote dozens of poems, which recorded their victories. Scholars and immortals have formed a profound "Mei culture" here with their expertise, or poetry, or writing, or painting.
