Fishing

[Author] Li Qunyu ? [Dynasty] Tang Dynasty

Seven feet of green pole and one foot of silk are blown by the wind in the leaves of the wild grass.

Several times I raised my hand to throw the bait and startled the teal ducks on the beach. A brief introduction to Li Qunyu, the author of "Fishing"

Li Qunyu, a native of Lizhou in the Tang Dynasty, was very talented in poetry. He "lived in Yuanxiang and respected Qu Song as his teacher" and wrote very good poems. "Hunan Tongzhi·Li Qunyu Biography" described his poems as "beautiful in writing and strong in talent", and "Complete Tang Poetry·Li Qunyu's Biography" records that when Du Mu was traveling in Li in his early years, he was advised to take the imperial examination, but he "died as soon as he passed." "Zhi", Prime Minister Pei Xiu inspected Hunan and solemnly invited Li Qunyu to write poetry again. He "carried the harp on foot as far as the chariot" and went to Beijing to dedicate "three hundred poems" of his poems to the emperor. Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty "read all over" his poems and praised "the poems he wrote are extremely elegant". He also gave him "brocade utensils" and "awarded him as the editor of Hongwen Hall". Three years later, he resigned and returned to his hometown. After his death, he was awarded the title of Jinshi.
