Here, the "waning moon on half of the river" and "cold clouds on the bank" make people feel the coldness of the waning moon and the coolness of the cold clouds. The poet started from the time when the white lotus originally planted in the small pond by the well was planted in the large pond farther away last year. By this year, white lotus blossomed. These white lotus flowers are written in an anthropomorphic way as "icy silk green sleeves". These white flowers and green leaves are in the water, blown by the breeze, emitting waves of cool breeze. There are white lotuses one after another, some fully bloomed and some half bloomed. The flowers in the water and the shadows under the flowers are among the swaying lotus leaves.
