1. The creative background of "Farewell to Xin Jian at Furong Tower"
This poem is believed to have been written in the first year of Tianbao (742 AD), when Wang Changling For Jiang Ningcheng. Xin Jian is a friend of Wang Changling. This time he plans to cross the river from Runzhou, via Yangzhou, and go north to Luoyang. Wang Changling may have accompanied him from Jiangning to Runzhou and then parted ways here. This poem was written when parting by the river.
