It turned cold in early winter, and the two of us arrived around eight o'clock. There are not many people on weekend mornings. Parked the car, entered the east gate, and began to go north. No one was seen all the way, the air was fresh, and the father and son walked easily all the way.
Soon I came to the whale's back. It's still a little challenging from below. My son is a little excited and timid. Encouraged by me, he climbed to the front and could feel that he was a little scared. Later, looking at the photos down the mountain was a bit challenging and exciting, and the protective measures were not particularly perfect. This road left a deep impression on him. Later, every time he mentioned Phoenix Ridge, he always mentioned whale back, haha.
The only protective measure is a chain that doesn't look very thick. These steps are cut out of stone and are very narrow. Even some steps can only be stepped halfway with one foot.
I approached him below, protected him and cheered for him.
After the whale's back, the road is still steep. I climbed up to have a rest. On the way, I met two sisters. One of them has amazing physical strength and feels like he is trotting all the way up. I also deliberately used her to stimulate my son and tease him.
About two hours, I successfully climbed to the top, and the flying stone tower on the top of the mountain was really amazing. Such a big stone stands on the top of the mountain, as if it had flown from outer space. I think it might be more appropriate to call it Fei Xian.
It is a relatively gentle road from the northern line to the top of the mountain. This road is far from the top of the mountain and has a good view. The hardships of climbing the mountain have brought the visual enjoyment of this road, which is also worthwhile.
This section of the road is slippery, and there are cliffs below. It took a long time to mobilize before you were willing to walk in front of me.
I thought the center line was easy to go downhill, but later I found it completely wrong. Many sections are like a ladder, and most of the ladders are not wide enough for two people to stand shoulder to shoulder. Besides, there are people coming up from below in the middle line. You can only move step by step on such a high ladder. When you move down the hill like this, you can feel your legs shaking uncontrollably all the time.
At noon 12: 30, the closed loop of the hiking route was finally completed, which took four hours. I am very happy and full. My son said that I would climb the Phoenix Ridge again next spring. A perfect parent-child route, the time and distance are just right!
