Lichuan is located in the southwest border of Hubei, with Sichuan and Chongqing in the west, Enshi in the east, Xiaoxiang in the south, Three Gorges in the north and Chongqing at the junction of four counties and two districts. Because of the fertile land and rich products, Lichuan was named "Lichuan".
