0 1. Ji Kang

Ji Kang (around 223 AD-around 263 AD) was born in Luo (now Suixi County, Anhui Province) and was a native of Wei Qiao County in the Three Kingdoms period. He used to be Cao Wei's doctor, so he was later called Ji Zhong San. China was a famous writer, thinker and musician in ancient times. As one of the "Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest" in Wei and Jin Dynasties, he is as famous as Ruan Ji, also known as Ruan Ji, and is a representative figure in the literary and ideological circles at the end of Wei Dynasty. He strongly criticized secular norms, advocated conforming to the laws of nature, preserving human nature, and actively promoted the theory of taking food as health preservation, which had a high reputation and appeal at that time. Later, he was imprisoned for being involved in the lawsuit of his good friend Lu An. Si Mazhao, the powerful minister, was afraid of the influence of his remarks and executed him at the suggestion of Zhong Hui.

After his death, his thought was greatly respected in the Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties and became an important theory of metaphysics in Wei, Jin and Southern Dynasties. With the rise of immortal Taoism, Ji Kang himself is immortal, including the official book of Jin. His life story is mixed with many legends of monsters. But he insisted on the freedom of thought and personality, did not pursue worldly fame and fortune, and sacrificed for the pursuit of justice. Later generations regard him as one of the representatives of China traditional literati who are honest and fearless.

Ruan Ji's thought can be divided into two stages. Ruan Ji believed in Confucianism in his early years and said, "In the past 14 or 15 years, I was still good at poetry and calligraphy. Brown and pregnant with jade, Yan Min and the phase. " There is even a poem, "Look at Zhou Zi and Zhuangzi, how they stood on the credit book and faded", expressing their disapproval of Zhuangzi Thought. However, after observing the cruelty of political reality at that time, Ruan Ji gradually accepted Laozi and Zhuangzi's thoughts, and wrote articles such as Biography of Mr. Adult and On Zhuangzi, criticizing Confucianism. Because in that politically sinister era, even if there was the idea of saving the world, as a scholar, there would be political dissatisfaction. In the face of the fate of contemporary literati being killed, their hopes for reality are dashed, and they naturally tend to have negative thoughts of avoiding the world. [8] Ruan Ji's articles full of Laozi and Zhuangzi's thoughts had a certain influence on the metaphysical trend of thought at that time.

Someone asked him why, and replied, "I can't avoid custom, and I'll tell you later."

In the early years of the Western Jin Dynasty, Ruan Xian became an assistant minister on horseback. Dan Tao recommended him as a senior official, and commented that "if you have no desire, you will not move" and "if you are an official, it will be wonderful at that time". Due to Ruan Xian's repeated violation of etiquette, Emperor Wu of Jin changed to Lvliang. Ruan Xian died after being appointed as the magistrate of Shiping by Sanshui Assistant Minister.
