A brief introduction to Zhan Ran's Buddhist anthology

Lu Ye Chu Cai's Collected Works of Zhan Ran laity (14). This book was compiled by others based on Chu Cai's works. It was first compiled in a.d. 1233, with a total of 9 volumes. It was compiled by Zong Zhongheng, then governor of Zhongshu. These nine volumes are the first nine volumes of the present book, written before 1233. Later, someone supplemented the works of A.D. 1233- 1236 for the last five volumes (2) of this book. Huang Yuji's "Ganqingtang Bibliography" volume 29 said: "The Collection of Zhanran Jushi has fourteen volumes, all compiled by Zong Zhongheng."
