Eleven lines of labor poetry

Compassion for the Farmers

Li Shen of the Tang Dynasty

It was noon on the day of hoeing, and sweat dripped from the soil.

Who knows that every meal on the plate is hard work.

Note: He: He Miao. Ri Dang Wu: When the sun is shining directly on your head, it means noon. Meal: rice. All: all.

Brief analysis: This poem of compassion for farmers describes the hardship of farmers' labor and their indignation at the waste of food. At noon in midsummer, farmers hoe the fields under the scorching sun, sweat dripping on the crop fields. But who knows that every grain of rice in the bowl contains the hard work of farmers!

April in the Countryside

Song Dynasty Weng Juan

Green Over The mountains and plains are full of white, and the rain is like smoke in the sound of Zigui.

In April in the countryside, there are few idle people, so they are planting sericulture and planting fields.

This poem uses line drawing to describe the scene of early summer in rural areas in the south of the Yangtze River. The first two sentences focus on Jinglvyuan, Baichuan, Zigui, Misty Rain, and outline the unique scenery of the water town in early summer in just a few strokes. The last two sentences describe people, and the picture mainly highlights the image of farmers planting rice in paddy fields, thus setting off the intensity and busyness of labor in "April in the Countryside". The former calls and the latter responds, intertwined into a brightly colored picture.

Two pieces of Shetian tune

Song Dynasty·Wang Yucheng

The first piece

Everyone worked together to sing and listen to Tian singers Don't be idle.

Everyone wishes to plant thousands of cords, and the green hills will be covered with beans and stalks.

Second Song

If you plant in the Northern Mountains, you will plant in the Southern Mountains. Is there anything wrong with helping each other in farming?

I wish that everyone in the world would be like me, and that there should be less barren fields in the world.

These two poems were written by the author when he was in Shangzhou (Shangxian County, Shaanxi Province). They describe the working life of farmers in the valley; they cooperate with each other and show their hardworking and brave spirit. These two poems have a simple folk song style, which makes them fresh and vivid to read.

Labor is like a piece of chocolate.

It is bitter first and then sweet. If you have patience, you can leave a taste for life.

Labor is the greatest.

Always silent and tireless.

Someone asked, what is labor?

Labor is not afraid of hardship or tiredness,

It has been like this for decades.

At sunset every day,

the setting sun lengthens the busy figure,

the hands covered with calluses. , the most beautiful.
