Huayang fell to the ground and cried:
Wen Daolong marked five streams.
I'm worried about the moon,
Follow you to Yelang Creek.
Translate poetry:
Just as the cuckoo sings in the willow,
After hearing the news that you were demoted to the dragon,
I let the moon with a sad heart,
Follow you to the border area west of Yelang.

Li Bai and Wang Changling were both famous poets in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, and their friendship was profound. This poem was written by Li Bai after he heard that Wang Changling had been demoted as the guardian of the dragon watch. It was written in the eighth year of Tianbao (749). Wang Changling's poetry has a long reputation, but his career is bumpy, and he was once "frequently criticized". In the seventh year of Tianbao, he was demoted to the rank of dragon watch captain by Jiangning Cheng because of "not caring". Because of this, Chang Jian once issued an angry reprimand in the poem "Wang Changling to Zhang Zhang in Ezhu": "What's the point of living in exile without sighing?" At that time, Li Bai was admired by the world because he dared to despise the powerful and unrestrained integrity.
The first sentence, "Huayang is crying in all subjects", is a late spring scene when Li Bai heard that Wang Changling had moved to the left. And I wonder how many blossoms were broken describes the depression when spring dies. The cuckoo's weeping blood further exaggerates the gloomy and sad atmosphere of the environment. The second sentence "Wen Daolong crosses the Five Rivers", Long Biao, now Qianyang County, Hunan Province. Wuxi refers to Chenxi, Youxi, Wuxi, Wuxi and Yuanxi in western Hunan. Longbiao county used to be a place where ethnic minorities lived together, with dangerous streams and harsh living conditions. Starting from Jiangning, Wang Changling went upstream along the Yangtze River, crossed Dongting into Yuanjiang, and arrived at the remote and desolate Longbiao. The description of Wang Changling's "moving to the left" on his way to his post in the poem shows his inner sadness and desolate environment, and shows Li Bai's concern and sympathy for the poet's friends.
Three or four sentences, "I am worried about the bright moon, and I will go to Yelangxi with you", are sentimental for the scenery and sincere encouragement and comfort to the poets. It means that I send my feelings for you to the bright moon, and I hope that the bright moon will follow you with my thoughts until you are in a distant place, chatting and comforting your lonely figure. In Li Bai's pen, the bright moon is an elegant and pure sentient being. In this poem, I gave my "sorrow" to the bright moon, which not only showed that Li Bai and Wang Changling were as pure and bright as the bright moon, but also implied that their friendship would last as long as the bright moon existed. It is enough to have a bosom friend in life, not to mention Wang Changling has many bosom friends! Among many confidants, Li Bai's selfless unity, firm trust and sincere friendship not only gave Wang Changling warmth, but also gave him the courage to fight evil forces. Wang Changling later wrote two poems, "Send firewood to the Palace Que" and "Long Biao Picnic", which both washed away the gloomy mood of "forgetting me" and showed broad-minded and optimistic spirit. The previous song was written, "Running water meets Wugang, and farewell won't hurt you.". Qingshan has sex and rain, and the moon has no hometown. " The last one wrote, "Yuan Xixia is cool, and spring wine brings bamboo bushes. Don't worry about string songs, mountains and bright moons will never be empty. " These two poems are high-spirited, because there is a "green hill and bright moon" with him. Perhaps Wang Changling also saw the friendship and unity that Li Bai and Chang Jian's poets sent him from the bright moon? ! In addition, we can see from Wang Changling's two poems that Li and Wang have deep friendship, deep mutual understanding and close interests. Otherwise, how can the "bright moon" in the poem play a magical role in comforting each other?
This poem has deep feelings, lofty artistic conception and broad mind, giving people a feeling of high spirits. In ancient times, due to the influence and poison of feudal class thought, some literati often sighed for the ups and downs of their official career, and some even moved to the left and felt dejected. However, Li Bai, contrary to the traditional concept, put being an official in the second place, "knowing each other in life" and cherishing friendship in the first place. Show elegant and unrestrained feelings. The style and realm of the whole poem have also become lofty and profound because of the poet's lofty thoughts. This poem has always enjoyed high reputation. As Hu Yinglin praised in the sixth volume of Poems in the Ming Dynasty, "Having eight poles is nothing." .
