One or two applause.
As soon as teacher Zhang spoke, her voice became hoarse, not as mellow and deep as I thought, which inevitably disappointed me. Can I recite a good poem in such a tired voice? There is a question mark in my mind. Looking at the text on the students' desks, there are actually six poems. With such a large capacity, can you finish all the classes in 40 minutes? The second question mark quickly came to mind.
After listening to a class, both puzzles were answered satisfactorily. What impressed me most was the two applause in class. One is for students, and the other is for teacher Zhang. At the beginning of the class, Mr. Zhang led the students to learn homesickness through the retelling of four students. It is not unusual for students to learn a paragraph and recite a paragraph now. All four students finished the task easily. But for most people, it is very difficult to recite the whole modern poem word for word on the premise of only listening twice. Ordinary teachers dare not make such an attempt in open classes easily, but Mr. Zhang is not afraid. The schoolmaster who stood up spontaneously blushed when he heard the challenge, but he was not afraid at all. Only one wrong word was recited in the whole poem, which was quickly corrected consciously. The recitation in the next three sections is not bad at all. Xueba is a Xueba because he has the stunt of "reciting after listening" and the audience applauded. This is the Excellence of Xueba and the courage of Bole.
After class, there was a song called "Mourning Our Country and Looking Home", which belonged to Yu Youren. Teacher Zhang first introduced the life of Yu Youren to the students. Just as the students were immersed in the grief of the old man's death, teacher Zhang's singing suddenly sounded in the classroom. The original hoarse voice brought into tears, which was deeply intimate with the atmosphere at the moment. The voice seemed magical, making people jealous and sour, and tears soon appeared in their eyes. Just when I marveled at my emotions, the song ended and the audience was silent for a few seconds. Everyone clapped spontaneously and consciously. There should be applause here! The applause here is the call of my true feelings! The reason why a famous teacher is a famous teacher is that there is a "moving song" that is amazing, and the audience applauded like thunder, which is the shock of the poem and the interpretation of the famous teacher.
After a song, the class will be over soon. I'm still immersed in the emotion brought by poetry for a long time. I wish I could listen to teacher Zhang's singing more times. After returning home, I searched for information everywhere and found the video of teacher Zhang's class in the 28th issue of Modern and Classic Small Language Teaching Observation Meeting on 20 19, and watched the class completely. I vaguely felt that today's singing was even more touching, perhaps because I came to the scene in person. After all, concerts are very different from records.
Second, the goal of poetry teaching
After careful counting, it turns out that Mr. Zhang not only taught six poems in this class, but also took the students to recite homesickness at the beginning of the class and taught seven poems. Apart from Homesickness, which is one of the three ancient poems, the ninth lesson in the third grade of next semester and the third lesson in the ninth grade of last semester, and the four rhymes of homesickness, which is one of the elective courses of modern poetry appreciation at home and abroad, the rest are besides Nighttalk, Palace Poetry, Miscellaneous Poems, Nostalgia and Looking Home. To be more exact, for the sixth-grade students, except an article "Thinking about the Mountain Holidays of Shandong Brothers", the rest are extracurricular texts. I have to admire Mr Zhang's courage again. This "Homesickness Poetry" is actually a comprehensive course of poetry teaching, which has both the positive integration of the same theme and the ancient and modern integration of different poetry styles. I have hardly tried this innovative comprehensive course. I am very happy to teach three ancient poems in the textbook to two capitals in one class. It's hard to imagine trying such a huge teaching capacity in 40 minutes. Isn't poetry teaching a difficult boundary? Can sixth-grade students learn the poems of third grade or even second grade in advance? This seemingly arduous task has been completed by teacher Zhang like a flowing stream. Anything is possible as long as you dare to think and do it.
So what kind of goal should our Chinese class achieve in the teaching of ancient poetry? Is it necessary to deliberately analyze every word in every class, so that students can understand the meaning and poetry of words and thoroughly analyze the poet's inner feelings? I'm a little confused, so I can only look for answers from books. When Mr. Sun Shuangjin expressed his thoughts on the teaching of ancient poetry, he summarized his thoughts in three sentences: not seeking a good understanding, seeking familiarity and seeking thoroughness. I quite agree with his view that it is futile to pour my own interpretation of the text on primary school students. The only memory that students can keep in their minds when they grow up is the charm of the words themselves. If they can recall the wonderful recitation when the teacher taught them, it will be a great achievement. For primary school students, if they can learn poetry in teacher Zhang's class every day and immerse themselves in recitation, their aesthetic ability will certainly grow imperceptibly.
I still remember that my primary school teacher once sent four words to our class on the blackboard-"I don't ask for answers". The specific reason is unknown, but now that I think about it, Dont Ask For Help, a primary school student, is understandable. As far as poetry learning is concerned, it is enough to find a suitable solution and understand a general idea. There are more meanings and connotations, which will only be extracted when you grow up, and the taste will last for a long time. At this time, there is no need to force feeding and irrigation.
Guide students to read repeatedly, try to recite, let students read correctly, read well and read out their feelings. This is what we should do. If we can practice the basic skills of reading as well as Mr. Zhang, we will certainly inspire students who dare not speak to read boldly. I remember a student who tried to read cadence in class, but gnashed his teeth. This amazing attempt makes people laugh. Teacher Zhang tactfully praised him as a future rock singer and quickly calmed his inner embarrassment. I'm sure he'll have the courage to raise his hand next class.
As for memorizing thoroughly, it is still very difficult for most ordinary students if they only use the time in class, and only a few scholars in the class can really be impressed. We teachers should think about how to make students recite more easily and how to stimulate students' initiative in reciting. Being able to memorize classical poems is one of the core qualities of Chinese, which needs the guidance of teachers' wisdom.
Third, teachers' professional quality has created their professional dignity.
Speaking of literacy, Mr. Zhang is undoubtedly a good teacher with great professionalism. He explained what a good class is, saying that there are four elements: wonderful ideas, ingenious processes, full emotions and brilliance of human nature. The achievement of such a good class can not be separated from his excellent professionalism: a pair of handsome hands, witty eloquence, eloquent reading and a well-stocked brain ... everything is enviable, but we have never seen the efforts behind him.
Teacher Zhang revealed in the article "When I was a child, I stuttered and ate when I grew up" that I was a stutterer when I was a child. He was influenced by his neighbors since childhood and learned to stutter. After being scolded by his parents, he actually stuttered. It was not until I grew up that I went to a normal school. In order to become a teacher who eats a meal, I try to learn Mandarin well. After graduation, my stuttering was cured without taking medicine, which really made people feel the opportunity of life.
Teacher Zhang's class is smart and interesting for students because he can expand and extend the key points appropriately. From my own school experience, I like teachers who are full of ideas and stories in class best. Gao Shi was a senior poet in the Tang Dynasty. The bigger the official, the farther away from home. It turned out that the shape of Chinese territory was begonia leaves, and outer Mongolia became a rooster after separation. "He Manzi" is a sad tune, which makes the listener cry slowly ... Although these little words are only a few words, how fresh they are for students and how they can catch their attention! Where did this little knowledge come from? It comes from Mr. Zhang's rich reading accumulation and in-depth interpretation of the text.
The brilliance full of emotion and humanity also flashes from time to time in Teacher Zhang's class. Read aloud, recite, chant and sing, show the emotional essence of poetry in front of students in various ways, and read the gripping feelings of poetry into students' hearts. He is willing to share his personal experience. He came to Danyang, Jiangsu from Henan. His mental journey alone in a foreign land is really touching. Students feel the sincerity of teachers, the equal relationship between teachers and students is effectively linked, and students are more willing to pour out their hearts. Such a Chinese classroom is full of humanity and temperature, and students gain language infiltration and edification in the study of literary language.
For our teachers, the most important way to gain literary literacy is to practice their inner desires. It's not hard to see what we missed. The difficult thing is whether we have the will to change through the efforts of the day after tomorrow, which is the power that ordinary teachers lack. When we get a text, we lack the ability to explain it. Without teaching reference, we can't grasp the key and difficult points of teaching. This is precisely the embodiment of our lack of reading reserves and deep thinking experience. If it is not made up at this time, when will it be? Only when teachers have a solid professional quality can they realize their professional dignity. When we advocate children to read more books, we must first deeply reflect on ourselves. Did I read it today? Did I study today? Reading is the only way for Chinese teachers to gain professional growth, and there is no room for slack. At this moment, open the book, let's read this long pole, and bring us a deeper understanding of education.
