Q: The English original of Walden Lake sentence.

Its trickle flows away, but eternity still exists.

From the second chapter of the original book, "Where do I live and why do I live?"

Time is just a stream where I fish. I drink it; But when I drank water, I saw the bottom of the sand and found how shallow it was. Its trickle flows away, but eternity still exists.

Xu Chi's translation is:

Time is just a stream where I fish. When I drink a stream, I see its sand bottom. How shallow it is. Its flowing water passed away, but eternity remained.

A good book, out of date.
